SAN DIEGO — Thus far, the toast of Comic-Con has been "Twilight," Stephenie Meyer's fast-growing franchise, which exploded into a true Hollywood phenomenon yesterday in Hall H, in front of the assembled media of the world and thousands of crazy fans who looked straight out of "Hard Day's Night."

I don't know how many fellow closet comic book fans are out there (or not so closet, if you're ready to embrace your geekdom), but I seriously just found one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. Directed by my beloved's blog, I discovered this beautiful piece called "Alphabets of Desire." Written by the amazing Alan Moore and signed by him and Todd Klein, one of the greatest letterers in the business, it's an amazing addition to any collection and...it's only $20!

Even if you're not crafty enough to design and print your own fabric, I bet you can appreciate the fact that others can — especially if you chill on geeksugar because I love crafty geek stuff!

Today FabSugar, GeekSugar and I had a conversation about how I always wear/love loud prints while Geek shy away from them and how this totally represents our respective personalities. I love talking fashion with these ladies.

Say what you want about geeks - but there is one universal truth that binds us all - we love crafts. From puzzles, putting things together to programming, forward-thinking, computer-loving types seem to be drawn to multi-step projects that combine creativity with cleverness.
Foldschool offers a collection of free cardboard furniture cutouts for kids, which you can download, print on any printer and create yourself.

I'm listening all my Neko Case right now (which is every album she has) and listening to the sound of crazy yabos yelling outside (as is usual in this country), and the rain.
I finally took the plunge and found an RSS reader that I like, and so have added quite a lot of feeds to it so far. I'm loving it - our internet connection is practically dial-up speed and cuts out a lot, so its nice to see whats going on on a variety of websites quickly.

Remember the days of real chain letters, real love letters you received in an actual mailbox and paper thank you cards? I love e-vites and social networking sites as much as the next person, but I mourn the loss of formal correspondence all too often.
Enter the eSnailer website, which allows you to type a letter to a friend or relative and will print, envelope, stamp, and send your letter via regular US postal mail free of charge.
