Blogger Eric Spiegelman compressed 130 photos from the Obamas' reception at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Wednesday night into one twenty-second video that reveals Barack's almost unbelievably consistent facial expression. If his hands didn't move, we'd call fake on this one, but as Spiegelman mentions, the photos are available for all to see on the State Department's Flickr stream. Amazing

Posting photos and videos online is more popular than ever thanks to mobile upload technologies to sites like Facebook and Flickr. And along with uploading comes tagging, keywords, titles and captions. I use tags and keywords on photos, so I can find them easily, but it's also a pretty public way of showing the world, "Hey!

Hey Everyone!
I just stumbled on Christina Aguilera's video for her song "Hurt," (from like two years ago). I really like that song and as I watched the video I remembered how much I liked her new look and in particular the one from the scene pictured below, I think it might make a good beauty/makeup challenge.

Last week I was spending some time with my friend and her baby and went crazy with "capturing the moment" — it was photos and videos galore! After uploading all my cutesy wootsey images, I couldn't help but wonder what options there are for parents who want to create an online space dedicated to their bundle of joy, but yet don't want their kids faces plastered all over sites like Flickr or YouTube.
And with that I bring you TotSpot, a secure and safe user-friendly site that allows parents to create a private page about their kids.

Browsing through photos and videos online just got a heck of a lot prettier with Piclens! This sweet download — that's been brought to us by another fave download of mine, Cooliris — allows you to gloss over thousands of photos from sites like Flickr, Photobucket, and Google Images, in a classy and sleek 3D slideshow. And what's better, the load times are nearly diminished since your slideshow is a virtual wall of thumbnails .

One of my all-time-favorite couples tied the knot last year after nearly 10 years together and decided they wanted to feature images of their life thus far as part of their wedding reception. She's a set designer and he's an architect and given the nature of their careers and their quest for adventure, it seems there isn't a corner of the world they haven't traveled hand-in-hand. So, after much discussion, they put together an awe-inspiring slide show of their favorite images in iPhoto, burned them on to a disk and projected the show onto the tent wall at the beginning of the wedding reception.

For an entirely new internet search experience, check out oSkope, a visual search engine for sites like Amazon, eBay, flickr, and YouTube. If you're wondering what "visual search engine" means, imagine browsing the sites above by image and not text. All you have to do is select the site you want to search, type in the subject, and a variety of images will appear.

Well maybe not a 6 year old, maybe an 8 year old who's allowed to use the stove. Lol. Anyways, this is the magical bread that's sweeping the blogging globeomasphere!
