Mixed tapes on the Internet are rising in popularity, and I know if you're of a certain age, the sight of a cassette tape on any website seduces your memories with thoughts of the boyfriends, girlfriends, and unrequited crushes that handed you one of those little rectangles, full of emotions and messages.
But while most sites merely use the lexicon or imagery of the mixtape, like Muxtape and Mixwit, there's now a site that pulls at your heartstrings and discusses the real heart of mixed tapes: Cassette From My Ex.
Cassette From My Ex's blog posts are sentimental short stories of people recalling Summer romances or young loves and the mixtape that defined them.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely love Says-It! When I first came across this rad site, I had no idea that you could choose from a variety of objects, signs, seals and badges to create hilarious graphics for! Says-It is just as addictive as MagMyPic because the options are endless with what you can design.

Home Video (www.homevideo.fm) are Collin Ruffino and David Gross, transplants from the misunderstood landscape of New Orleans, now living in the brooding brownstones of Brooklyn, New York. Here they revel in a self-created world of references to Edward Gorey, Massive Attack, The Brothers Quay, Smashing Pumpkins, and a dusting of Chopin, references that they have been collecting for nearly ten years.
They connected in high school art class in 1997.

Interview with The Guardian newspaper! Enjoy :D
Brandon Flowers sits bolt upright in his train seat. So handsome you feel like putting a paper bag over your head the minute you meet him, his teeth a gleaming testament to the might of American dentistry, he is nevertheless not merely visibly uncomfortable but audibly uncomfortable, too.

Walkman, at 30, a mystery to teen
Alejandro Martinez-Cabrera
What better way to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Sony's iconic Walkman than to ask a teenager for some feedback on the device?
The BBC couldn't think of one, and neither can I.
I like to imagine that the experience was similar to an archaeologist rediscovering how a recently excavated artifact was employed thousands of years ago.

Ice T might not like Soulja Boy, but Kanye West praises the rapper for being who he is. He likes Soulja Boy so much that he wrote a blog about the young rapper.
Read his blog below:
I AIN'T GOT NOTHING AGAINST ICE T OR NOBODY FOR THAT MATTER BUT I GOTTA RIDE WITH SOULJA BOY..

I didn't expect to get all choked up when I listened to this song, but damn if I'm not misty-eyed. (I should mention that Giggle and I went out for a drink and that may explain it.)
I really loved the Promise Ring back in the day. And by "back in the day" I mean high school.

I was reading an article in Vanity Fair magazine, that referred to the one below published in 1991 on Time magazine about the intrincate dealings inside the "church" of Scientology.

Cover Story: The Thriving Cult of Greed and Power
By RICHARD BEHAR
By all appearances, Noah Lottick of Kingston, Pa., had been a normal, happy 24-year-old who was looking for his place in the world.
