Thanks to TeamSugar user missyosigirl for sending us one of her favorite gadgets, the bring-anywhere Canon IXUS i zoom digital camera. She says: "The first real gadget I ever owned is this Canon IXUS camera that my husband bought last December 2005. What I love about this point-and-shoot camera is that I can bring it anywhere because of its size.

Reader plmunroe2 recently added some shots to the Cool Capture group:
Galveston, TX, may not be considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the US, but it does have its moments. Every time I go down there to visit my boyfriend, I catch a glimpse of what a pretty place it can be. My boyfriend and I were just driving along the seawall and I looked back and saw the sunset.

Nowdays, more and more people use camcorder to record something happy, such as birthday party, wedding, graduation etc. While, maybe lots of you aren’t familiar with these tools, feeling frustrated about how to convert and import properly those .MOD video files. Now here, I give some little tips and hope it useful to all of you.First, what’s Mod?.Mod files are actually MPEG-2 files with AC3 audio, similar to a VOB file on a DVD or the M2T files used on Sony hard drive camcorders, this video file format is used on many digital camcorders, such as the JVC Everio, the Canon FS100 and the Panasonic D-Snap SD-card camcorders.Second, why and how we convert them to what we wanted video formats?Because .Mod file is not supported by iPod Touch, iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPhone, Apple TV, PSP, Zune, Creative Zen etc, so if you want to import MOD files from your camcorders to play on iPod, even burn to DVD to keep them, you have to convert them.

I live in San Diego and rarely take advantage of how beautiful my city is. There are so many great places to take pictures so a friend and I decided we should be tourists for a day and took a hike at Torrey Pines State Reserve. I took the pictures with my canon powershot SD 940IS.

I am looking into getting my first DSLR. I've hold out on getting one before because I thought my normal point and shoot was enough, but on a recent trip to Orlando, I noticed that I really wanted to capture a lot more, and at a faster speed and my point and shoot just couldn't handle it.
I have narrowed my choices to two popular models the Nikon D90 and the Canon EOS 50D.

The first real gadget I ever owned is this Canon Ixus camera that my husband bought last December 2005. What I love about this point-and-shoot camera is that I can bring it anywhere because of its size. Although I cannot really adjust any of the settings (like aperture, focal length and all those serious photography stuff), I was still able to take beautiful pictures of sunsets and sunrises, beach landscapes and cityscapes, dinners and lunches with friends, and of course lots and lots and lots of candid shots of me and my family.
