Tourist for a Day
I live in San Diego and rarely take advantage of how beautiful my city is. There are so many great places to take pictures so a friend and I decided we should be tourists for a day and took a hike at Torrey Pines State Reserve. I took the pictures with my canon powershot SD 940IS.

I am looking into getting my first DSLR. I've hold out on getting one before because I thought my normal point and shoot was enough, but on a recent trip to Orlando, I noticed that I really wanted to capture a lot more, and at a faster speed and my point and shoot just couldn't handle it.
I have narrowed my choices to two popular models the Nikon D90 and the Canon EOS 50D.

New Camera

Although I cannot really adjust any of the settings (like aperture, focal length and all those serious photography stuff), I was still able to take beautiful pictures of sunsets and sunrises, beach landscapes and cityscapes, dinners and lunches with friends, and of course lots and lots and lots of candid shots of me and my family.Big Ticket Wedding Registry Items
