NEW YORK/LONDON (Billboard) - It's perfectly legal, but it will still seem to some listeners like the sound of someone making off with England's crown jewels.
On rap collective Wu-Tang Clan's new single "The Heart Gently Weeps," a Santana-style rock guitar opening gives way to an almost celestial chorus of something very familiar. There, and throughout the track, is the unmistakable melody of George Harrison's timeless contribution to the Beatles' "White Album" from 1968: "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

I may hold this story closer to my heart since I work in the Entertainment field and am from New York, but someone please explain to me, why someone would push business out of New York when the state is in a financial meltdown? This makes no sense to me. What Governor Paterson wants to do is exactly what California did, and now they have no Entertainment industry left, besides the studios.

OMC: Tell me a little about your character on “Gossip Girl.”
Jessica Szhor: I play a girl named Vanessa Abrams. She is this girl that grew up in Brooklyn and then moved away to Vermont with her parents and came back her sophomore year to confess her love to Nate Archibald, played by Chase Crawford. When she gets back, she realizes that he is totally in love with someone else, so she has to deal with all of that.

Apple has Steve Jobs as its pitchman, as well as Justin Long's popular "Mac Guy" character, so now rival Microsoft will have Jerry Seinfeld – who'll appear alongside company founder Bill Gates in new commercials for Windows Vista, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Seinfeld, 54, will be paid about $10 million for the ads, which are set to debut Sept. 4, says the newspaper.

"Sex and the City" and Its Lasting Female Appeal

WHEN it comes to products helping to promote the coming film based on the popular TV series “Sex and the City,” it seems the sky is the limit.
Advertising: Accounts, People, Miscellany (March 17, 2008) Better make that the Skyy is the limit, as in Skyy vodka, which is being named the “official spirits sponsor” for the movie. Among the tie-ins are drinks made with Skyy to be served at Houlihan’s restaurants and named after characters like Carrie, Samantha and Mr. Big.

1. Beef
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, "meat contains higher levels of pesticides than any of the plant foods." Pesticides end up in the environment, then in the animal, and then in you.
