So today we knew we were supposed to be waking up to Mobile Me being online, but the App store was a lucky surprise! So while Mobile Me is still not up and running consistently I have been happily downloading applications in anticipation for the iPhone 2.0 software release. What have you guys downloaded for your iPhone?

If there has ever been a year to vote, this would be the one to do it! Whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, obviously CitizenSugar has you covered on the details, but Election 08 is a handy little app to have in your pocket as well.
For only a buck at the App Store, Election 08 shows you real time results from polls about who is winning each state, and electoral vote estimates on who will take the General Election.

As if not having to memorize someones phone number or directions to get places isn't enough, I've found a few apps that make other aspects of my life far easier, and most of them are free!
Showtimes - uses GPS to find theatres near me and their showtimes
Sportacular - up to the minute sports scores, b/c I'm a tad fanatical
Remote - cause who wants to walk across the room to change the iTunes
Facebook/Myspace - cause clearly social networking in an addiction
Where - find Starbucks and cheap gas!
Zipcodes - it's handy and international
iScopes - gotta see what the universe has in store for me each day
myLite - helps me search thru my purse in the dark and the lighter is just too awesome
PhoneSaber - b/c every geek needs a little Star Wars on their phone
Games I love: Jawbreaker, Teto Teto!, Sol Free, Sudoku
So what are your favs?

You know how going green guides recommend shopping at second hand stores for gently used items? It may be good for the earth, but bad for your credit...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a word to the wise: Think twice before whipping out that credit card to pay for purchases at the Salvation Army or a discount store, have tires re-treaded or even buy a late-night round of drinks.

The BlackBerry App Store is slowly increasing its app selection, so I always make sure to regularly peruse the site for any hot new additions. My favorite so far is the free lightsaber app, which is pretty darn sweet, but for something a bit more practical, there's CellSpin.
Whatever social networking site you use, CellSpin will make it easy to instantly blog with audio, video, photo, and text support, all from your BlackBerry.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2.5 years and generally we get along well and love each other. He's three years older than I am. We're living together right now with his parents (long story) but that will likely change soon.

Just reading this article makes me feel panicked. I don't understand why people can't figure out that we should not be pumping money into our housing market, it is going to do nothing but cause even more, and prolonged damage. There is enough damage due to federal government interference, why continue?

Sooooooo, with all the fun of the App store being open my husband started scouring the news sites to see if anyone had any rumors as to when they would release the 2.0 software update that would allow you to use these little apps. Quite a few of the sites were talking about a hidden link that you could download the 2.0 software and force iTunes to use it to update your phone. A little bit scary but after reading that the guys over at arstechnica.com had not only downloaded it but successfully updated some of their phones made me jump in with both feet.

This was forwarded to me by my dear friend Mel : - "Although I try to use reusable shopping bags (the kind they sell in all the grocery stores now) I occasionally forget them in the car ~ I think I’ll take the time to go back and get them. "
See link below.
Once in the slideshow, use the bar on the right side of the small screen to scroll through.
