Geeksugar Tests The White Blackberry Pearl

I was walking by the T-Mobile store on the way back from lunch yesterday and I noticed their big sign outside advertising the new white Blackberry Pearl. Being the geeky but charming woman that I am I convinced the very nice guy behind the counter to let me check out and photograph the sexy thing. Yeah, that's right, I called it sexy.

I know a lot of you are RAZR and Sidekick fans, but the Pearl is worth checking out if you want access to your e-mail around the clock.

How To Change Your BlackBerry Pearl's Color

If you happen to have a BlackBerry Pearl I suggest you take a tip from the Spice Girls (hey, they are hot again, right?) and "spice up your life." You can do so by downloading ColorPearl, which allows you to change the color of the trackball on your BlackBerry Pearl. You can get the download for free from Viral Electronics. An easy way to get the software on your Pearl is to email the downloadable attachment to yourself and open it on your BlackBerry.

Note: The BlackBerry 8800 and Curve/8300 do not have the colored LEDs behind the trackball, so there is no way to make ColorPearl work on them. You can change your Pearl to white, red, green, blue, cyan, yellow, pink, custom or random.

Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl showed off her new white BlackBerry Pearl at the T-Mobile Café at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. I'm just jealous she got her hands on the new white model before I did.

Hitachi's New E-Ink Phones Deserve a Few Ooo's and Aww's

If yesterday's pink BlackBerry Pearl didn't excite you, feast your eyes on Hitachi's new W61H clamshell phone. What's revolutionary about this handset is its 2.7-inch e-ink display, built-into the external screen. This extra display has been named the "silhouette screen" as you can choose from 95 different patterns to showcase on your phone. Featured on CrunchGear, this clamshell phone also comes with 100MB of internal memory, a microSD expansion option and GPS capabilities-Is it just me or is GPS integration becoming the new norm? Set to become available in Japan this March, this stylish new clamshell will come in green, white and black. We may not see this exact handset anytime soon in North America, but stay tuned for similar phones incorporating this unique e-ink technology!

The Hills Gadget Gear Recap So Far...

For those of you who happened to miss it, no need to worry because last night's episode of The Hills was a recap show... you know the one where they summarize all episodes to build anticipation for next week's episode? So while we take a commercial break from our regular "Hills" broadcast, let's do a quick gadget-gear recap to make sure we are on top of our tech knowledge thus far. I'm sure you've all been paying close attention to the glamorous gadgetry this season, especially with our weekly tech quizzes, but if you're just tuning in, here are a few favorites so far.Surprisingly, we've learned that Spencer is quite the Apple fan, spending days on his MacBook (does he even have a job?) and nights on his iPhone. Audrina mixed it up this season with her lovely white Pearl, which she used to keep in touch with her on-again, off-again musician boyfriend Justin Bobby.
