There is one group that has been neglected for long enough, and I'm seriously itching to learn about all you geeks and friends of geeks who peruse our pages. Don't be shy — nominate a Geek of the Week!
Tell us why your fave geek deserves the title, whether she has named all her gadgets after characters in Doctor Who, if you've caught him on tape while he ritualistically prepares for online Gears of War matches, or maybe she has choreographed an interpretive dance to the BSG theme song.

Christian Nold, a London-based artist describes technology as such: "It is not the neutral, rational instrument that it is portrayed as; instead it appears to be a heady and unstable mix of authoritarian control and anarchic mischief." His project, which is called "emotional mapping" or "bio mapping," encourages volunteers to wear GPS devices and lie detector sensors while exploring various neighborhoods in cities across the world. This system is said to detect people's emotions as the data is combined with their accounts of what they felt and saw.

Kristen Bell fanatic eclaireassuch nominated little Miss Veronica Mars as geeksugar's Geek of the Week after creating a Veronica Mars fanclub. The funny thing is, Kristen just happens to be featured on the cover of this month's Geek Monthly, a hot new magazine that covers all things geek. I have to concur, Kristen manages to play up the chic geek role better than anyone these days.

Watching a few two many episodes of the new Beauty of the Geek season this weekend reminded me of my all time favorite geek, Richard Rubin. Last season on the show the fumbling geek admitted he had never kissed a girl and showed that even when you've make it on a primetime show, you're not always guaranteed a stylist.
While the show is so contrived it's painful, I still get a kick out of its hilarious sound bites, starting with Rubin's revelation "I was once accosted by a Hungarian stripper.

Babel and Y Tu Mamá También star Gael García Bernal is my pick for Geek of the Week, simply because he showed up to the The Second Annual Dinner and Concert to Benefit WITNESS last week looking utterly dashing...and donning his geeky glasses.
I suppose his film role choices and the fact that he dated Harvard-grad Natalie Portman also qualify him for the geeky category. Regardless, he's a geek worth watching.

From studying at Stanford and graduating with a history degree to completing a Master's degree in International Relations from Oxford Chelsea Clinton has endured her share of geekiness over the years. Who can forget her nerdy style and bad hair do's which forced her to become a prime target for scrutiny? Chelsea is one geek who represents the 75 percent chicness that's required to be named a geeksugar Geek of the Week.
