You know all those hip wall decals you've seen floating around recently? I know what you're thinking: you're afraid of using them on rented walls (sticky residue), or you can't find one that you love. Fret not, stylish friends, DezignWithaZ is here to help.

Let 8-Bit Decals Invade Your Workspace

I try my best to keep my desk area at work clean, organized and free from clutter. But my wall space, now that's a different story. It's still quite stark and bare, but these blue and black 8-bit Wall Decals would be the ideal way to spruce up my space.

For $40 from surface graphics company Blik, you get a combo pack with four 15-inch sprites and 16 6-inch sprites from popular 8-bit games of the eighties.

Other colors in the pack include teal and tangerine.

Power Pole Wall Decals: Geekish or Freakish?

The geeky wall decals I've seen in the past have been cute, but the subjects (Space Invaders and Super Mario Bros.) seemed more appropriate for application in a kid's room.

Here, though, are some wall decals that feature a modern symbol of technology - the power pole - which come off looking starkly chic. From Ferm Living, these Power Pole Wall Decals (click through to the wall stickers section) would certainly make you feel like you're living in a technological wonderland - but would you want that right in your living room? Maybe it takes a certain bravery and look to pull it off.

Nintendo Wall Decal: Love It or Leave It?

How much geekery can you stand? Do you love your games so much that you would plaster them on your wall? If so, Blik has just introduced Nintendo wall decals, inspired by vintage games, which can make your lair just that much gamier.

Three kits - Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros., and Donkey Kong - can be arranged in a variety of ways on your wall (see the gallery below) and though I'd doubt I'd put this on my living room wall, these would be awesome in a game or kid's room. What do you think?

Great Geek Gear Find: Space Invader Wall Decals

Thanks to TeamSugar user LillyRose who added these super fun space invader wall decals to the Geek Gear bookmark! Perfect for video game lovers, these decals by Bilk come in a pack of eight assorted colors or plain white. Totally geeky but for some reason they look geek chic on this plain wall with ivory furniture. They'd definitely add some flair to a game room!

The Guitar Hero Wall Decal Is Ready to Rock

Oh, Guitar Hero, no matter how much more I focus on Rock Band these days, you are still my hero.

Therefore, I need to get my button-strumming hands on this Guitar Hero Wall Decal ($18).

It's just too apropos for me- though where to put it? Maybe in a kitchen, like the picture. Wouldn't it go perfectly in a home like this?

Etsy Find: Cool Vinyl Laptop Decals

If the Twilight laptop skin isn't your thing, then maybe this selection of cool and geeky ones will be. I first found this awesome Snow White laptop decal (which reminded me of yet another Twilight-themed decal), which incorporates your Apple logo into the piece. But then I kept browsing the shop and got hooked on all of the totally geeky decals, which can be used on your laptop, your Kindle, your walls, or wherever you want to stick 'em.

Good news is that these decals were made to be attached and then pulled off later, so you won't have any sticky residue after you've outgrown your artsy vinyl. Plus, with prices starting at $13 each, you can't really go wrong. Check out a few more of my faves below!

New Rocking Out Uniform: Guitar Hero T-Shirt

Generally, when I'm getting ready to "shred" on Guitar Hero, I just wear something that won't get in the way of using the whammy bar (though one day, I'm going to dress up as Casey Lynch if I can amass that much leather).

Now I may have to throw on this Ryde Guitar Hero Tee ($24).

The tee, which is also available in black and white, is good for rocking inside and showing your love on the street.

And luckily, it's a bit less of a commitment than the Guitar Hero wall decal.

See, Flat Screen TVs Can Be Decor!

In case anyone needs photographic evidence about why I yearn to mount my flat screen on the wall, here it is. Of course, this picture was submitted to Ferm Living's blog to show off the whimsical wall decals in a studio, but all I see is that black Samsung TV.

I especially love how photographer Lauren Hillary uses the TV as a design element - the shiny black of the TV's "frame" complements the black decals against her green wall. You can tell that she also uses it as a monitor by the equally chic ultra thin keyboard and Mighty Mouse. I also appreciate the functional and decorative touches of her cameras. I wonder if she'll come and do my interiors?
