Vivienne Tam and HP Collaborate on a Netbook Once Again

Vivienne Tam is starting a trend, and it goes beyond her amazing fashion designs. At last year's Fashion Week, Vivienne Tam unveiled a designer HP Mini 1000 that I instantly fell in love with, and at this weekend's Spring 2010 show, she did it again.

The newest designer netbook clutch comes in a feminine gold and butterfly finish, inspired by the Chinese story of the "Butterfly Lovers", which is a beautiful tale of freedom, romance and inspiration. Here's what she had to say about her new clutch and clothing collection:

"I’m excited to partner with HP again on a new design that truly embodies my inspiration for the new spring collection. When women around the globe carry HP’s digital clutch and wear my clothes, I want them to feel beautiful and confident."

As with other fashionable tech finds we've seen this week, there have been no pricing details released for Vivienne's netbook clutch, but we should expect to see it in stores next Spring.

The Vivienne Tam Laptop Appears at Macy's Stores

Want to get a nice up and close look at HP's Mini Vivienne Tam special-edition notebook? The red-hot digital clutch is being featured in Macy's Flower Show (which is worth checking out in and of itself) in New York City, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia. You can find the notebook at Macy’s Herald Square in New York (2nd floor), Macy’s on State Street in Chicago (3rd floor), and Macy’s Union Square in San Francisco (3rd floor) or else opt for the guided tour of the displays at each location. Such a great way to welcome Spring!

I know I said that the Vivienne Tam HP Mini Netbook was a January Must Have, but I think it deserves to be a Valentine's Day must have as well. The color, the functionality, the fact that it fits in your purse (In. Your. Purse.) . . . I honestly can't get enough. And I'm feeling a little guilty since the mark up on this baby is over $300 dollars, but it's just so hard to say no to a gadget this beautiful.

So if you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, and looking for something to go along with your new netbook, check out these red Heart Earbuds for a more reasonable $12. These two are totally made for each other.

I feel like I've been anticipating this news forever - almost as much as Netflix coming to Macs - and I can finally say that the HP Vivienne Tam Special-Edition Notebooks are available to purchase on HP's US website!

I know, you know, I'm a Mac girl, but when I saw this drool-worthy digital clutch on-board the Virgin America Gogo WiFi test flight, I was totally smitten. And with a starting price of only $700, I'm seriously considering saving up for one.

Last night during her Spring 2009 show, Vivienne Tam unveiled her laptop cum clutch special-edition notebook, which she teamed up with Hewlett-Packard to create. Our Coutorture girls were on the scene for the entire show, and even caught up with the designer herself to chat about her partnership with HP, her love for technology and how she wanted to bring beauty and color to this notebook. This digital clutch offers a 10-inch screen and will be available this October. Pricing has yet to be announced.

The Vivienne Tam MP3 Walkman Concept

Fashion designer Vivienne Tam has teamed up with industrial designer Kitman Keung to create this bold MP3 walkman.

As you can see, this is not your standard walkman by any means. Maybe it's just me, but doesn't this mp3 player resemble a clip-on cell phone?

This sleek 4GB concept-edition player is set to be displayed at the Vivienne Tam flagship store in New York. Hopefully more info about this unique device will be released sooner rather than later!
