I'm the kind of girl that can appreciate the early days of technology and rock a vinyl record player next to a high-quality sound system. Urban Outfitters isn't the first place you'd think to get your tech fix, but it has been raising the bar when it comes to offering up retro gadgets like record players and old-school typewriters. Two of my favorites, natch.

There's just something about sifting through stacks and stacks of records, finding a gem, and then taking it home to hear the crackle and amazing sound that a record provides. There's really nothing like it. And although I (and a majority of you) get our music digitally, old vinyl is making its comeback.

Some of us still keep vinyl around, and then some of us just romanticize vinyl. If that's you, then forget your dream of buying a turntable and just hook up a Vintage Vinyl CD Packaging Kit ($17)!
These are great for making mixes and giving CDs or DVDs as gifts for the holidays and then "wrapping" them as records, or for your own personal stash of compact discs.

It's recycled and it's geeky, so how do you think I feel about it? This Recycled Vinyl Record Necklace ($20) was laser-cut from an old vinyl record — so if you want to hang on to old formats but can't bring yourself to suffer the clutter, this is a good way to do it.
But have we seen the headphone jewlery theme a little too much?

Vinyl is making a comeback! Many artists are now releasing albums on vinyl as well as digitally.
There's something about the sound of a vinyl record that makes any song — even a new release — sound totally old-school.

These Saturn bags may not be as cute as the summery laptop totes and sleeves but if you're already starting to think about fall, then they may make the perfect laptop accessory.
The Saturn vinyl laptop bag features a horizontal tube structure on both sides and has a magnetic snap to keep the top closed. Each bag is ideal for most 12"-17" laptops and comes in both black and red.

Well add the USB turntable to the list of USB items I probably don't need, but sound really cool. The handy gadget allows you to liberate all your antiquated vinyl by connecting it directly to your computer.
Simply plug the turntable into the USB port on your PC (Windows or Mac) and use the included Audacity software to rip your vinyl directly to MP3 (or WAV format) for playback on all your newfangled devices like the iPod.

If the Twilight laptop skin isn't your thing, then maybe this selection of cool and geeky ones will be. I first found this awesome Snow White laptop decal (which reminded me of yet another Twilight-themed decal), which incorporates your Apple logo into the piece. But then I kept browsing the shop and got hooked on all of the totally geeky decals, which can be used on your laptop, your Kindle, your walls, or wherever you want to stick 'em.

I've been searching for a shiny black laptop bag for quite some time now, so when I saw this $30 vinyl laptop bag from American Apparel, I knew I had to have it. Mind you I'm not quite sure if it's durable to hold all my gadgets as well as my laptop, but for only $30, it's worth testing out.
Made from polyester vinyl, this laptop bag comes with a front pocket with zipper and reinforced tacks for extra support.

I know there is an "art" to being a DJ and all, but how many times have you walked into a club and watched the DJ actually scratch on some vinyl? Most of the time, they pick and choose songs from their MacBook playlists, hit a few buttons, and move the cross-faders from side to side. Am I right?
