We may be smack dab in the middle of holiday season here on the Sugar Network, but I can't help but share with you this crazy-fun find to whet your palate for next year's wedding season. We already have enough geeky wedding ammo to fuel an entire ceremony, so this 8-Bit wedding invite is the icing on the cake (pun intended).

Complete with binary code speech bubbles, the vintage feel of this wedding invitation I spotted on BuzzFeed has me longing for my arcade days. Of course, if you do rock the old-school invite to your wedding (or DIY it for any occasion), just be sure to have some retro gaming action on hand to complete the feel. Party on!

Vintage Video Maker App Does Exactly What It Implies

All things old are new again as vintage gadgets and tech come back with a bang. Since you can already turn your iPhone photos into cool vintage-looking pics in more than a few ways, it's only natural that there would eventually be an iPhone 3GS app that turns your on-the-go videos into retro styled mini movies.

Called the Vintage Video Maker, this $3 app is worth its weight in fun - just capture your video within the app, or load one up that you've already shot, and choose between three old-timey styles: 20's movie, black and white, and 60's home video. You can also add sound effects like a running projector or loop an old piano to play over your 20's themed vid.

I love vintage geek gadgets almost as much as I love my brand new tech goodies. From typewriters to Polaroid cameras, these retro goodies are as stunning as they once were useful. My laptop is great and I appreciate it completely, but there is something so dreamy and romantic about typing on an old-fashioned typewriter. Get Your Retro Game On With Pac-Man and Atari Controllers

Although I can keep up with the best of them when it comes to modern warfare games like Gears of War and Halo, being the vintage geek that I am, I can't help but hold my favorite old-school arcade games close to my heart. So even though I can't find Galaga at an arcade within a five-mile walking radius of my apartment (I'd go pretty far to drop a few quarters in that baby), I could play right at home with these Pac-Man and Atari game controllers.

These all-in-one controllers hook right up to your TV and provide hours of arcade gaming entertainment (they each include 10 games or more) for a mere $40. Which, let's face it, would be less than I'd drop at my local Pizza Palace arcade during any given month in the '90s.

Urban Outfitters isn't the first place you'd think to get your tech fix, but it has been raising the bar when it comes to offering up retro gadgets like record players and old-school typewriters. Site Pays Homage to Geeky 80s Laser School Portraits

Hmm, can you spot the similarities between each of these photos? The eighties hair - check, the eighties outfits - check, the pink and blue laser beam backdrops - big check. I can't believe that I almost forgot about these lightsaber-esque backgrounds that graced hundreds of thousands of school portraits! I don't know if I was a minimalist back then or if the lasers had run their course of coolness already, but I actually skipped over the laser trend.

If you want to take a walk down memory lane, a site called We Have Lasers is dedicated to showing off the greatest school portrait backdrop that ever existed. And if you know your way around Photoshop, you could even make a laser portrait yourself . . . I know you want to! Did you get bitten with the laser bug back in elementary school?

Telephone Pillow: Love It or Leave It?

Big ups to the vintage telephone revival! Typewriters and Polaroids are hot, and now so are corded telephones, too. Case in point: the Telephone Pillow ($34) from Urban Outfitters.

West Elm had a similarly geek-inspired telephone pillow last year - it's like as everyone ditches their landlines left and square, the old-school rotary gains in popularity. But are we far enough away from the home phone to be nostalgic about it? Would you toss this on your chair?
