Do you ever start writing a long email to realize that you'd rather talk to the person over the phone? Well eyejot is a cool new site that may help you if you want to send someone a personal message but you don't have the time to chat for hours over the phone. Eyejot combines features from email and live video chat by creating an easy to use platform where people can send video messages (from your webcam or iSight) to friends and family in seconds. I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

First of all, join the Website of the Day group
Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
Choose "Blog"
Give your photo a Title
Leave the category as "general"
Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day")
Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you love the website, do it before the code that has appeared.
Click Submit

So join the Website of the Day group and share information about all of your favorite sites! Yours just might end up on the geeksugar homepage!

Website of the Day: MSN Twilight

Only one more day until the highly anticipated New Moon premiere and I know you were just hoping I'd squeeze in one more Twilight tech treat before the big day. And here it is! MSN has launched its very own Twilight website that takes you right to Forks, Washington where all the Twilight excitement takes place.

You'll be able to take virtual tours of the Cullen house, the Forks Police Station, the Forks Hospital, Bella Italia, the dress shop, the bookstore, and the high school. Just don't try opening this site using Firefox on Mac or else you'll get this message (which I thought was pretty cheeky):

"Let's say Firefox on Mac is like a vampire and our video player is like a wolf pack. . . They just don't get along. We don't want you to miss out on the Twilight action though, so try opening our site in Safari for Mac."

Although iChat allows me to video conference with up to three people at the same time, sometimes I just want to have an iChat party with more of my friends or family. All it takes is a free account with Paltalk and a quick download of SuperIM, and you're on your way to chatting with 10 of your buddies from around the world who have an Internet connection. Driving While Texting Is a Killer Combo

We all know the dangers with using wireless communication devices like your cell phone or iPod while driving, yet most of us continue to do so. With car crashes being the number one killer of teens in the U.S, the Today Show decided to see just how distracted teens can get while using their phone while driving. Using a special simulator and wearing high-tech glasses, two teens were put to the test to see how much they looked away and for how long while taking calls, changing songs on their iPod, or sending a text message. All it takes is two seconds for someone to be distracted and cause an accident, as you'll see in this video. Lesson learned? Always exercise caution, don't look away from the road, and invest in a bluetooth headset.

Brody Jenner Talks About the Importance of BBM in Dating

For all of you BlackBerry owners, I'm sure you're well aware of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Basically what it is, is IM right on your phone in real time. Unlike SMS, messages are free since they are sent through RIM servers, just like email. Now here comes the fun part: When you send a message, you'll see a D beside it to let you know that it was delivered. And as soon as the recipient reads the message, an R will appear (to show it has been received). Therefore, with BBM, it becomes impossible to ignore messages since the sender will know if you got the message but aren't responding. On yesterday's Live With Regis and Kelly, Bromance star Brody Jenner mentioned how his love affair with his girlfriend started with BBM. Are you a BBM user? From the way this clip is titled and conducted, it sounds like they're pushing this SIM Card Spy device as a good thing, but I can't help but be anything but horrified. You insert anyone's SIM card from their cell phone into the SIM Spy, and every single text message - including deleted ones - shows up when you plug the SIM Spy's USB into your computer.

Even if you have nothing to hide, this product seems completely violating. Has anyone ever read your journal? It's an icky feeling. That said, I know there's verrry few people who have never been curious about what's in their significant other's texts, MySpace, or email. And I know many people who have logged in, signed on, and picked up their loved one's phone to see what, if anything, is goin' on. Have you?

You know, I think the only drawback to having TiVo is that you miss these hilarious commercials that are actually worth watching (although I rewind when I see Apple commercials, just to see what new song I'm about to become obsessed with). So, thank god for YouTube! This awesome clip is hawking AT&T's texting plans, but wait till you hear Grandma getting in on the text-speak chitchat. IDK, either, girl.

Not only did SNL bring back ultimate geeky girl Tina Fey for their first show back from the strike, tonight's host is going to be Ellen Page (whose Juno hamburger phone was a big winner in Oscar Season), along with Wii-lovers and all-around bada**es Wilco.
