And of course, in these days we have YouTube and DVD box sets, so when a show goes off the air, we can keep loving it over and over again, thank the gods. As low-tech as the boys of Flight of the Conchords are, they're a geek entertainment staple. Don't get me wrong, it's not a show devoid of tech references, it's just that they're not exactly discussing 3G and Ubuntu here. Nope, my favorite New Zealanders may not be Apple devotees or own a flat screen, but at least Bret and Jemaine know the difference between DVD and VHS.

My sister still calls her kids' Wii "The Wii Machine" and my mom once sent all her information to her "bank" — which was of course, a scam. As scary as that experience is for anyone, she was able to stop anything from happening. Of course I can laugh at it now because all I remember is my mom calling me to tell me she got "hacked!

If there was an award for cutest hipster bloggers with actual street cred, Peter Rojas and Jill Fehrenbacher would take the cake. He is the cofounder and editor-in-chief of Engadget, a heavily trafficked tech blog about gadgets and consumer electronics, and the cofounder of Joystiq, which covers the world of video games.
