GeekSugar Talks to Jamie and Adam From MythBusters

When I moved to San Francisco, I instantly became hooked on a popular show called MythBusters. Now in its seventh season, the show is filmed right here in the city (bigger stunts are filmed in the Bay Area) and is hosted by the original MythBusters themselves - Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage. By using scientific technique and incorporating carefully-planned stunts, props, special effects (which usually involves something being blown up) and other elements into the show, the entire team - which also includes Tory Belleci , Grant Imahara and Kari Byron - investigates myths or "urban legends" to see whether they are "busted," "plausible," or "confirmed." They test out all sorts of cool myths including putting your hard drive in the freezer to bring it back to life (which was actually confirmed!). Saying the show is your ninth grade science class on steroids is an understatement.

I got the chance to geek-out with Jamie and Adam this week at the Mythbusters studio where we talked tech and where I toured the grounds and saw where it all goes down! MythBusters new season premieres next Wednesday at 9 p.m. on the Discovery Channel.

The City Tech Quiz: Episode 1, "Sleeping With the Frenemy"

Whitney and crew kicked off a new season of The City last night, featuring an old friend: Roxy, a straight-shooting but slightly undermining brunette and a new rival for Olivia, Erin, the publicist for Elle magazine. This season's cast of characters wastes no time getting the drama started! I'm looking forward to how Olivia handles her new role at Elle while under Erin's watchful eye.

Even though the characters are busy getting acclimated to all of the changes in their lives, there is a fair amount of spotable tech goodies. Check to see how closely you were paying attention with this quiz!

In last night's dramatic episode of Gossip Girl, there was champagne and celebration mixed with deception and drama amongst our favorite Upper East Siders. We learned that Scott is actually a love child from Lily and Rufus, Chuck is diving into the hotel business, and Serena is making a go of it with Carter (who I'm going to nickname "Cheating Carter"). Whether it's texting or talking on their cell phones, these New Yorkers always have their gadget gear close to them. How I'd Wire Betty Draper

It's not easy being Betty Draper. The trendy housewife and former model from AMC's Mad Men has to keep up appearances, keep up with three children, and keep her often chaotic emotional life on track. She certainly deserves a few push presents after delivering her new baby and putting up with Don's adulterous antics. I've offered up some suggestions for how I'd wire hubby Don Draper, but it's Betty's turn.

The charming Mrs. Draper is all about keeping up with the Joneses, so instead of relying on predomindately vintage-inspired gizmos, I've collected an assortment of retro and modern devices that would assure the couture gal stayed connected if she were living in current day.
