Ahh, Summer. Although I love Fall (hello, gadget fashion!), I can't help but get a pang of sadness knowing that this is really the last warm holiday weekend to look forward to this year. Summer is the quintessential time of year to travel and lounge around in the sun, and if you've headed out of town this season, you've most likely used a travel-planning website like Trip Advisor or Diddit to help you get there.

I come across a fair amount of travel websites on a regular basis — OK, more like I seek them out, because you know how much I love them! A co-worker mentioned this site to me the other day and I was overjoyed to actually take it for a test drive. What's great about Trazzler is the fact that it will provide you with wonderful trip recommendations based on a certain location.

There's nothing worse than being pumped for a vacation, then arriving to find your digs/guided tour/planned activities aren't as awesome as advertised. Unfortunately for some, this could totally shatter your dreams of an ideal vacay. So next time, do some extra research on a site like Ruba.

There's nothing like feeling the warm sand under your toes as you step out onto a beach during the first few moments of a vacation. You know you're really on vacation. That is, of course, if you have saved up enough vacation time and money to go.

I think similar to my email, my Gmail tasks list needs to be gone through so I can delete some of my old to-dos! Everything from travel memos, to daily lists and reminders, my tasks certainly help to keep me organized!
Being able to move items to different lists is a great help, but now I can email a list to friends with Google's new email task list option in the Actions menu.

I know — more travel stuff — but I just can't help myself! I've rambled on about useful travel websites and devices to take with you on your Summer getaways, but boy did I ever get excited when I discovered this app. Powered by Travelocity the free HotelPal iPhone application will help you find a hotel when you are planning a vacay (or if you need something last minute!).

I love to travel, which means I'm always on the lookout for any new, interesting and helpful travel tips. So when I caught this amazing tip in this month's issue of Budget Travel, I was all over it.
There's plenty of ways that Google can be used for travel planning, and now there's another way Google can help you while you're on the go: use Google Sites to store all your travel documents, like scans of passports and ID's, itineraries, and conformation numbers for easy access anywhere in the world.

Even if you're planning a glamping trip this Summer (glamping as in glamorous camping), and you'll be staying at a hotel or two, we all know that there aren't any guarantees when it comes to finding ample outlets for charging gadgets.
Glamping or camping, the Globetrotter Solar Charger ($100) will surely come in handy for those who travel loaded with gadgets. This powerhouse charging device comes equipped with eleven connectors and connection cables (meaning you can charge you and your friends iPod, cell phone, DS Lite, and GPS device), it will work in all weather conditions, and only takes about four hours of sunshine to fully charge its solar panels.

Another day, another travel website, except this one not only helps you search for the best hotel, flight, and car rental deals across the web, but it also allows you to share your travel plans with Facebook friends via Facebook Connect.
Making its official launch today, Tripeedo aggregates the best of the best in terms of travel sites (like Kayak, Expedia, and even brand new Bing), and equips you with one giant travel search engine to help you find the best fares.
You can also post your travel info on Facebook to let friends know about your trip, or view your friends' upcoming trips .
