You know, I thought something was off. I've noticed that President Obama's eyes haven't had quite the same sparkle for the past few weeks, and The Onion finally tells us why: Battlestar Galactica is over.
Apparently, the President was a huge BSG fan and has recently blown off daily routines and has shown signs of depression!

All those video games like Gears of War? Their true benefit, of course, is preparing kids for the coming apocalypse. But are they violent enough, The Onion wonders?

Check out this hilarious spoof of Microsoft's blue screen of death by the nation's most trusted satirist, The Onion.
You thought there'd be no fallout from those new "I'm a PC" commercials? Think again.

I'm a longtime Yelp user, but lately things are getting a little crowded and messy in there. But it looks like I'll have options pretty soon: The Onion (yes, that Onion) is launching a new website for users to rate businesses, called Decider. It's not satirical, like its founder, but sincere, much like the AV Club.

The Onion once again has an awesome tech send-up — and this time their victim is video games and the nerds who play them (we are secure with who we are). What if you could play an avatar playing an avatar in World of World of Warcraft? Check out the video and see if the metaness doesn't make your head explode.

When I'm an old lady, I look forward to telling my grandkids stories of what they will surely not be able to wrap their heads around: The time before the Internet. Yes, darlings, I'll tell them, we once had to be at home to place phone calls, you had to break up with your boyfriend face to face, and you were forced to watch commercials. And we — yes, I swear — we had to go into a "video store" and pay to own the movies for a couple days at a time, and get this — return to the store later to give them back.

Basically The Onion will never be able to top this headline, or the story for that matter — tech news-wise, anyway. It doesn't matter how geeky you are, we've all had moments with our computers where we also can't get the thing to do the thing (this is exactly the kind of situation I had in mind when we talked about gadget rage).
And of course, there's a very close tech headline runner up — "Apple Unveils New Product-Unveiling Product."

Having trouble getting through your Friday? Put on your headphones and listen to this goofy gem from the only news source that doesn't stress me out, The Onion. Find out why North Korean spy satellites have been trained on an Idaho man's wide-screen TV from The Onion's radio news reporter, the reliable and old school Doyle Redland.

The Onion is one of the few sites on the internet that consistently delivers laughs, witty stories and relevant political assertions hidden in dorky and outrageous videos (aside from gigglesugar of course). In case you haven't run across it before, the site uses the tagline "America's Finest Newsource" and has done for newspapers and online magazines what the "Daily Show with John Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" do for television news.
The site features faux news from all genres including politics, science, entertainment and of course, my favorite, technology news like the hilarious fake iPhone ad.
