Created by NY design firm Jellio, these supersized Rubik's cube tables look just like the real thing. Featured on babygadget, each Rubik's cube table is acrylic, measures 16" W x 16" D x 16" H, and costs $600. Six hundred bucks for a giant rubik's cube that doesn't even twist- no thank you! LED Motion Light Coffee Table

This interactive LED coffee table reminds me of a Lite-Brite. As in "Lite-Brite, Lite-Brite, turn on the magical shining light!" Just like the Lite-Brite, which in case you are confused was a small toy covered in multi-colored plastic pegs, this coffee table is decorated with lights as well. Four-hundred and eighty super-bright white LEDs to be exact. Using near-infrared optical sensors, each LED light is triggered by motion in the dark or full sunlight. You can literally make the light sweep across the table with a simple arm gesture as the lights get brighter when the movement is closer. Even when there is no motion, the LEDs will keep the table illuminated with a lovely twinkle effect. Showcased on Coolest Gadgets, this table only takes 35watts of power to operate when fully active (which is the equivalent to a household light bulb).Each coffee table is custom made from sustainable wood, can be made with a glass or plastic and frosted top. Prices start from $2,800 upwards and can take up to 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Ikea's Gustav Laptop Table Is Good For Small Spaces, Wallets

Surely you can't frown on Ikea in a time such as this, when a recession is at hand? (Not that I ever frown on Ikea, for shame!)

The $150 Gustav Laptop Table isn't merely a petite table that could accommodate your laptop - though it does that with an extendable panel, so you can type or rest it on the leaf or the main surface.

What's great about the Gustav is that the drawer is the perfect size for laptop storage, and inside you'll also find a cable outlet so you can organize or hide the laptop's cords and cables. Plus, it's simple and sturdy and looks fabulous. But you already noticed that.

I am totally falling in love with Suck UK's geeky-chic goods. Not only can they supply me with an old-school Mixed Tape USB Set that I can slip in my BF's bag to show him some love, but they can make me the queen of my castle with this totally hot Union Jack illuminated coffee table. I am seriously jonesing this thing.

But don't think it won't cost you a pretty penny - this baby comes in at around $4,000 bucks. And if flags aren't your thing, you can order your table minus the Union Jack top. I don't know what is geekier: an independently controlled coffee table with a built-in power connection, or me, who gets all excited over the idea of having lights underneath my furniture and on my clothes. It's probably the latter.

Billiards Table with Built-in TV/DVD

I have lusted after many a gadget or gizmo. The iPhone, Sony's Bravia TV, the techie umbrella - these are all plastic electronic things that have stolen my heart and captured true human emotion. I have also been repulsed by many a gadget or gizmo. The USB caplet, the MP3 Player that gives facials and the skirt covered mouse pad all make me wonder if half the industrial designers in the world are color blind creatures who have never met a smart, feeling woman.

For a split second I considered showcasing the Executive Billiards Table as a "Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?" item, then realized it wasn't a fair fight. While touted as a luxury device, the table is so horrifically geeky that I can barely look at it.

The table has a LCD TV, stereo with flat paneled speakers, games/DVD player, library rack, night lights, ball storage rack and a mirror backed bar. It costs $12,000. I say, buy a normal billiards table and a sweet flat-screen set. Forget all these awful devices that combine 10 bajillion gadgets into one.

Lego USB Hub: Love It or Leave It?

We've seen Lego coffee tables, a Lego kitchen, and even a Lego house. Here's my latest Lego-themed find: Lego USB Hubs ($20).

Available in four bright colors (yellow, red, black, and blue) the hubs are four inches long and have ports for up to four USB cables or devices.

It's definitely been a Lego-overload recently, but I have to admit, I'm a fan of this product, too. What do you think?

Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Electric Table

The electric table is "decorated" with electrical outlets on all sides and mixes electronic aesthetic with furniture and function. As the designer Broberg and Ridderstrale points out, this encourages the integration of gadgets in our homes.

"Depending on how it is used, the electrical appliance turns into "electro-decoration," says the designer.

Power source issues are a big deal at my house and at my office, so I am naturally intrigued by the idea of being able to hook up my phone and computer right at my desktop. I'd prefer the outlets be hidden under the table top, but this is still a clean way to avoid the ugly black surge protector - assuming this table has a protector built in.

Bedside Table/Charging Station Combo: Love It or Leave It?

Put aside your appraisal of the rather traditional looks of this PBTeen nightstand, and focus on the fact that the drawer houses a three-plug outlet and a hole for the cable in the back. That's right, the Ultimate Smart Bedside Table is doing double duty as a nightstand and a charging station.

Why aren't more furniture makers doing this?! You could drill into an existing nightstand you have or deal with your cord mess, of course, but I love that Pottery Barn recognizes how convenient this type of integration is.

My only problem is that it's $350, for a design I'm not terribly in to. Could I put that aside for its cleverness? What do you think?
