I recently discovered I have a love/hate relationship with wall decals. I am tempted to buy one, but have a feeling that I'll find one I love, spend all day applying it, then get sick of it shortly thereafter. Why take the plunge if you're already doubting your intentions?

Stickers can be for grown-ups, right? I mean, if I can't have my Hello Wars stickers or my Gmail stickers, then I don't want to grow up.

I think I'd be similarly safe with the Office Graphic Stickers ($7) - sure, they're vinyl stickers like you had as a kid, but with a decidedly grown-up theme. Floppy discs, USB ports, computer ports - slap these geeky stickers wherever you want to fool someone.

I'm thinking of just sticking the ports on my forehead as a social statement.

Casa Quickie: Put Your Veggie Oil to Work

If your vegetable oil thinks it can get away with only working in the kitchen, you better tell it to think again. Veggie oil isn't only good for cooking: you can also use it to remove adhesive left from sticky labels (or the stickers themeselves) on anything around the house. Just drop a bit of oil onto a paper towel or a tea towel and give the adhesive a good rub. If the item you're working on is washable, rinse it with a bit of soap and water. If not, just dampen a tea towel and use a drop of dish soap, then wipe away the oil and adhesive with the cloth. Bye-bye sticky stuff!
