The mini speaker wristlet bags are back! When I mentioned them way back when, most of you were digging their retro hip style. . . except they quickly sold out and only came in aqua. Well now the MoMA store is rocking them in peach and royal blue hues ($25). For newbies to the boombox bag, it holds all of the essentials - cell phone, lip gloss, keys - and you can even hook it up to your iPod for personal jam sessions. MP3 Player Cooler Bag: Love It or Leave It?

Hola, Summer! We may be a couple months away, but I'm all about putting my arsenal together - you know, new bathing suit, sunglasses, and clearly, this bag.

The MP3 Player Cooler Bag ($79) from Pottery Barn is not the first iPod-playing tote anyone has seen - and certainly not the first from Pottery Barn (last Summer gave us this bag).

It's not even the first MP3 player bag that cools your drinks, though this one is way, way bigger (and thus better, as conventional wisdom tells us).

That said, is a beach bag worth 80 bucks, electronic advantages and all?

With lots of pockets, two built-in speakers and a plug for your iPod, this speaker tote bag is a great accessory for trips to the beach. I'm not sure how amazing the speakers sound, but I'm sure it would be the same level of quality as a mini boombox - remember those?! It's even on sale for $49, saving you twenty bucks from the original price tag. And if you're looking for a speaker/cooler/AM FM radio combo bag, there's always this somewhat tacky bag.

The latest line of speakers bags has just emerged on Born Rich and I have to say, they aren't all that bad (the black is tres chic, no?). These Fi-Hi Speaker Bags were spotted at CTIA in Vegas this past week and come equipped with the usual waterproof speakers and 3-watt stereo amplifier. Except this time, these bags have been designed with the fashionista in mind, unlike the star-covered AM/FM cooler bag. Hook em' up to your iPod or cell phone via the included minijack and with four AA batteries you'll be able to rock out for at least six hours straight. They are brand spanking new, so no word on pricing just yet . . . eat your heart out Gucci!

Felicidade Groove Bag Plus Triplet

I apologize for exhausting you with yet another iPod speaker bag, but I promise that this design is more geek chic than totally geeky, even if it is faux leather.

Featured on 7 Gadgets, the Groove bag by Felicidade looks like a giant clutch handbag that you'd pair with pumps for a day of shopping.
What I like about it is the iPod Cradle and the fact that the two speakers blend in with its exterior, making it more conspicuous than other iPod bags. Although I'm still debating whether or not I'd actually use it! Priced at $100.

Sure, the solar powered beach bag is an August must have, but what if you'd rather cool your drinks and play music instead of just charge your gadgets? Uncommon Goods is selling a bag that plays tunes - it gets AM and FM and hooks up to any iPod or MP3 player - all while keeping your brews cool. While the exterior of the bag was inspired by wooden-paneling, it's supposedly lightweight and it's got a padded shoulder strap so you'll never want to put it down. It costs $45. Beer, MP3 player and sunblock not included.

Griffin's Journi Speaker Has Travel Potential

Some folks from Griffin stopped by our office during their recent PR tour and let us play with their new line of speakers. While the others may offer better sound (don't worry, I'll share those reviews with you soon), I was charmed by the journi's tiny, portable "classy boombox" qualities. They call it a "personal mobile speaker," which is just what it is. Close up the speaker looks like a clutch, but opened up it folds into a lightweight pyramid of sound. According to the reps, the battery works for up to 10 hours, so you can take the little speaker traveling, to a picnic or at your desk (they didn't let me play with it for that long so I can't stand by that claim!). If it doesn't last 10 hours it is powered by internal Lithium-Ion batteries, which can recharge with the included AC adapter or through your computer's powered USB port.

To work it you just slide your iPod into the dock (it works with other MP3 players as well) and spin a wheel to adjust the "wrapstand" around your player and hit play on your iPod or the remote. The wrapstand means the speaker works just as well with the mini or nano as it does the regular size iPod and it won't shift around in your bag.

Features: Apparently, two 50mm high/mid-range drivers and two 64mm passive radiators use SRS WOW digital technology to expand the audio image and sound of the journi speaker. The battery works 8-10 hours of play on a single charge via AC adapter or powered USB port and the device syncs your iPod with your computer's iTunes library as it charges. It does have an Auxiliary Audio Input for other digital music players.
