YMYL Gadget Holster: Love It or Leave It?

I have seen some pretty heinous gadget holsters in the past so the YMYL Gadget Holster is, at the very least, a step up from the type of carrier Han Solo or Dwight Schrute might use to carry their techie goodies. According to the YMYL site, it was "ergonomically shaped to sit flush against your side so that you'll never notice it's there - only a sound frisking could detect it," which leaves me to believe the creators hope people will wear their holsters under their top layer of clothes for full gadget protection. And here I was thinking iPhone theft was on the decline. What do you think? Would you wear it?

After seeing the Hip and Shoulder Holsters on a couple super geeky sites last week I predicted they were the next big trend in geekdom. And boy, was I correct. The ideal gift for the James Bond, Han Solo and Dwight Schrute in your life, the case has taken a new shape: the Holsterbag.

Apparently, the bag was created after designer Beatrice Larossa had heard enough complaints by her male friends that they couldn´t find a practical solution to carry all their necessary daily items. They had no interest in carrying around Girl-like purses and everything else was either too big and/ or too unpractical. Priced at nearly $440, these bags aren't cheap but then again, nothing this geeky ever is.

There's a new gadget trend in town, and love it or not, it's hit the geek circuit with a bang. Geeky product connoisseur Thinkgeek has unveiled the Hip Holster and Shoulder Holster, which seem to combine the needs of James Bond, Han Solo and Dwight Schrute into two very geeky cases. "As a world-renowned super-spy, you've got a pile of gadgets at your disposal, but you've also got to keep your secret identity a secret," says Thinkgeek. "You have to be able to blend into the crowd at a moment's notice."

The shoulder model is $49.99 and the hip model is $59.99, which means you are even paying more for the extra geekiness of having a gadget strap around your thigh. Would you wear one?
