Start Your Shopping Engines: ShopStyle Mobile App Launches

Tech-savvy fashionistas have known for a while that the destination to search for new clothes and home accessories is ShopStyle. Well now the incredible search functions and tools have gone mobile - say hello to the new (totally free) ShopStyle Mobile app!

You can hunt and browse from your iPhone on the go - making it your best comparison shopping tool.

Out trying on jeans and have a hunch they're cheaper at another store or online? One place out of a size in a shoe you like? Just look it up on ShopStyle.

I've checked out the app and put it to my shopping and iPhone app test, so to see what I found, just read more.

My favorite thing about the app is what happens post search. Tap to flip the image and see all the details of the item, including the retailer and price. Once you've found the product you're looking for, it's one easy click to email it to a friend or yourself.

From a tech perspective, the greatest thing is that once you've located an item and want to buy it from your iPhone - instead of shooting you off to Safari and removing you from the app - the app actually frames your browser, so you're still in the ShopStyle app.

A little birdie told me that a favorites feature is coming in the next update, and after that, you'll also be able to sync your favorites with your ShopStyle profile, so you won't have to email items to yourself to remember them.

ShopStyle Gets Handy Sale Alerts Feature!

If you thought shopping was made easy thanks to our shopping site ShopStyle - which allows you to find thousands of brands in one easy place - wait until you hear about ShopStyle's latest feature, Sale Alerts! By navigating to the Sale Alerts tab at the top of your stylebook page, you will get to choose your top brands, and then your favorite shopping categories (shoes, shoulder bags, makeup, jackets, etc), and by clicking next one last time, you'll see a notification that tells you which email your sale alerts will be sent to (if you don't have a ShopStyle account, you will be asked for your email). And just like that, you'll start receiving daily notifications of when your favorite items go on sale, with direct links for purchasing them! Saving money made easy, just in time for the holidays!

Shop Tommy Hilfiger on Your iPhone

I love shopping, I love my iPhone, and I love any application that makes it easier for me to shop on my iPhone. Tommy Hilfiger just released an iPhone app making it unbelievably easy to shop for men, women, and children's clothes, right from your phone.

My favorite part is how closely you can zoom into an item to check it out. One tap adds selected items to your cart and another brings you directly to the check out. The app also allows you to create an account and stores your credit card and shipping info.

Use the app to search by price, category (including sale items!), or size, and browse through top-selling items. And, since there's nothing worse than finding out an item you must have is out of stock, the app allows you to register to receive a push notification when you're able to purchase it. That's one notification I'd be delighted to receive!

Evan Rachel Wood Travels With Her Cat and Laptop

Ahh, LAX. It's the place to go to not only spot celebs, but their tech as well. I loved The Wrestler, and even though it came up short in the tech department, Evan Rachel Wood is providing me with some eye candy with her laptop (and kitty!) in tow.

I spotted a few laptop cases that could pass for Evan's grey and lime green sleeve, but none that would fit the bill perfectly. And that's okay by me, 'cause let's be real - I don't need an excuse to take a moment (or a few hours) to browse eBags and Shopstyle's selections! Check out a few of my favorite finds below. Unfortunately, the kitty is one of a kind, so you'll have to find a similar feline on your own. Maybe PetSugar knows the breed?
