I try to be a crafty, DIY type of gal but I have to admit, my heart belongs to the Internet and my trusty laptop. I probably would really enjoy making my own photo scrapbooks if I could just tear myself away from my Flickr account long enough to print some of my pics. But thankfully, Scrapblog has made me realize I shouldn't be ashamed of my Internet addiction, but that I should nurture it.

Why? Cause I can just as easily make my photo scrapbooks online with Scrapblog's easy to use service, plus I can get my creation out to more people since I can embed it on my blog, or send links to my friends and family. Similar to TeamSugar's photo album feature, Scrapblog allows you to upload your favorite photos from your desktop, or from a number of photo hosting sites, add some text, videos, and customize your pages just the way you want. You can change backgrounds, add stickers, change fonts, and even edit your photos right in Scrapblog. The best part? Yup, it's all free, so instead of spending a fortune on scrap booking supplies, I can spend my dough on other things. . . you know, like a new laptop bag, or apps for my shiny new iPhone.

I was sitting on my couch the other day and found myself staring at my bookshelf. Although some of you may think you can never have enough books, the truth is, I have more than enough books. In fact, I started cleaning out said bookshelf and have now narrowed down my library to just about half the amount of novels, instruction manuals, and reference titles than when I started. But the only problem? What the heck do I do with all these books that are now living in a box in the middle of my apartment?

According to Get Rid of Things I could use the paper for scrapbooking, paper maché, or I could even dye my own paper for crafts if I wanted to. Sure, I could sell the books online (if I had the time), but this sounds way more fun. And that's the cool thing about Get Rid of Things - it doesn't just state the obvious ways you can get rid of unwanted books, but you'll find useful tidbits on how to get rid of cellulite, weird smells, and your husband. Even though I haven't put a photo in a photo album in what feels like forever, I may re-start the old habit if I get my hands on this Camera Photo Album ($32).

Remember when I told you about the cool online scrapbooking site called Scrapblog? Photobucket liked it so much that they've teamed up to bring you a Scrapblog app right in its photo-hosting site. So alongside your albums, slideshows, and videos, you can customize your own scrapbook with all those digital photos you've been storing!
