I like it next to my kitchen stove. There's something about the smell of cooking that . . . nope, it's not what you think. I, like many others, was actually referring to my purse. Yesterday, my friend Amy posted an "I like it on top of my law books" Facebook status update, which totally took me by surprise. I was seeing her in a whole new light until I saw a couple of other people posting "I like it on . . . " updates. Turns out, it's actually a Facebook campaign that was started for the purpose of promoting breast cancer awareness. You might be familiar with the last viral breast cancer awareness meme which had plenty of women posting about the color of their bra. What about you - where do you like to leave your purse?

The trend of the oversize purse is slowly waning, but let's face it - a big bag seems practical. You need somewhere to stow all your stuff. The problem is heavy handbags can cause back, shoulder, and neck pain and possibly lead to arthritis.

I suggest you go through your purse and lighten your load. Take five minutes and remove all non-essential items. Clean out your wallet too and get rid of credit cards you don't use regularly and business cards you no longer need. The same goes for receipts. If you're changing handbags as the seasons change, take the opportunity to figure out what you truly need to carry and what is just weighing you down.

I need to see this purse in real-life form before I can pass judgment, but let me offer up my two cents from what I know so far. News has arrived that by the end of this year, for around $300 to $400, you can purchase a handbag that not only stows your goods but also charges your beloved gadgets.

The Soljaro Power Purse was created by mechanical engineering student Joe Hynek and works by charging up the purse's solar panels whenever you're in the sun. The bag is said to need about two hours of full sunlight to charge a cell phone, while a fully-charged battery can last up to a month. And it was designed in such a way that you can easily sit it in your window at work to charge up!

LED Lights in the Bottom of a Purse? Brilliant!

Rummaging around in the bottom of my laptop bag or purse is something I've just gotten use to. I've considered using one of those organizers that you move from bag to bag but the thought of lugging around something else in my purse stresses me out.
