I'm blown away by the recently completed loft of budding 24-year-old interior designer Chris Cushingham. Industrial to the core, its furnishings are made mostly of materials the rest of us would pass up, such as corrugated cardboard, raw wood, plumbing conduit, shipping pallets, and burlap sacks. There's no doubt that Cushingham is one clever lad.

My favorite element of the apartment is how he maximized his space by hanging a pull-down projection screen from his bookshelf (which he DIY'd out of wood and conduit). Not only is there no bulky television screen hogging up prime storage space, but he also went even further to set a pair of mirrors there to visually expand the room. If small square footage is one of your decorating dilemmas, consider picking up a projector and screen to make the most of what you've got. In fact, if your walls are white, you'll only need a projector and you'll be well on your way to life as a savvy small-space dweller!

The much-buzzed-about Nokia Lumia 800 is now for sale in the UK, and the company chose to celebrate the occasion in a major way yesterday. Nokia took over the Millbank Tower in London for a free electronic music performance by deadmau5, set to a light show projected across the skyscraper's looming exterior.

The 387-foot tower's 800 windows were covered in vinyl, which doubled as a canvas for the 16 projectors beaming the 3D video show from the opposite side of the Thames River. In what they call 4D technology because of what the live music and physical landscape added to the experience, the Millbank Tower pulsed, collapsed, rebuilt itself, swayed, and even served as a virtual roller coaster in perfect sync with deadmau5's track before reminding the crowd below of the Windows-based Lumia 800's arrival.
