Forget pillow talk, how about pillow tech? Who knew there was such a market for geeky pillows out there? I already surround myself with gadgets and geekery, so why not decorate my home with a few pillows that hold my tech, remind me of tech, or that are just tech-related? Telephone Pillow: Love It or Leave It?

Big ups to the vintage telephone revival! Typewriters and Polaroids are hot, and now so are corded telephones, too. Case in point: the Telephone Pillow ($34) from Urban Outfitters.

West Elm had a similarly geek-inspired telephone pillow last year - it's like as everyone ditches their landlines left and square, the old-school rotary gains in popularity. But are we far enough away from the home phone to be nostalgic about it? Would you toss this on your chair?

iPod Pillow: Love It or Leave It?

Etsy sellers have located a sweet spot: geeky throw pillows. I've seen websites and other tech icons as pillows, but I'm really delighted by this iPod Pillow Cover ($18).

Rendered in soft gray (a better decor choice than Apple white), the pillow cover is made of soft felt recycled from plastic water bottles. It certainly does the iPod Classic justice.

Would you toss this on your sofa?

Robot Pillow Wants to Be Taken to Your Design Leader

Triumph! My Robot Home is almost complete. It seems I just need this Robot Pillow ($42) from Boodalee for my abode.

The space-inspired throw pillow is made from an eco-friendly material and has two different prints, so you can just flip it over if you get tired of the robot.

But who would get tired of the robot? Not me. Sacrilege.

Pixelated Print Pillow: Love It or Leave It?

Geeky pillows that also look extra luxe? Color me happy. These pixelated-floral print Mixelated Pillows (about $53) are pretty darn cool looking, and they seem to bring your computer screen to life for your interior.

On the other hand, they remind me of this Matthew Williamson pixelated scarf in that I know that I like it, but actually using it is a different story.

What do you think?

Mix Tapes on Your Pillow Make For Sweet Dreams

Where has the mix tape trend popped up now? In bed.

The Mix Tape Pillow Case Set ($25) is appropriate, since mix tapes used to be the last thing I'd listen to at night, preferably made by a crush or a friend with really great taste in music.

I also like that it's not a full sheet set of mix tapes, so you can still appear to be a grownup when your bed's made.

Anyone else love the convenience of their cell phone but secretly think it's really romantic to have had to sit at a designated telephone chair and then talk to the local switchboard operator about whom you needed to phone?

OK, yeah, so I guess speed-dialing and visual voice mail is pretty great too. I really wouldn't give it up, but I will be laying my head on this old school Telephone Pillow ($29) from West Elm. And making "BRRRING BRRING" noises and asking Alice to connect me to Mrs. Ada Stevenson in Murray Hill.

Ikea Brada Laptop Cushion, for Cozy Time

I've never really been that into laptop cushions, mostly because they remind me of those padded desks I used as a kid on road trips.

They've just never seemed that comfortable - until I spotted the Brada laptop cushion on a trip to Ikea this weekend.

Its comfy half-moon shape would be ergonomic, and easier to use when you just want to sink into your couch - or, as per their staging suggestion, while chillaxin' in bed. The price for this coziness: $18.

Interactive "Wired" Pillows: Perfect For Long Distance Lovers

Whether it be the fiber optic heart pillows or the REi Huggable Pillow, pillows and geeks go hand-in-hand, and this one is no exception. The Interactive Pillows from Design Goteborg are actually wired with electroluminescent wire that enables the pillows to connect to a communication service (wirelessly) and interact with other wired pillows. When a pillow is touched, hugged or leaned against, it will activate the pattern on the other pillow to glow and will change with various movements. Definitely an interesting way to "keep in touch" with a loved one. In the meantime, I'll stick with my trusty cell phone.

Fire Flower Pillow: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

Am I crazy for thinking that the vintage Mario graphic of the Fire Flower on this pillow would work in with modern decor? For those who come into your home and don't recognize its provenance, they'd probably just think that you appreciate geometric pop-art designs, and those who do recognize it would demand to know where you got it so they can get their own.

You could go full geek throttle and pair it with the Space Invaders pillow, or just mix the flower in with your other, more subdued throw pillows. Are you as enamored as I am?
