Oakley MP3 Thump Sunglasses: Cool or Not?

Even though I'm OK working out without music, I prefer not to. Fun Summer jams get me motivated, and music helps me relax too. But sometimes dealing with an iPod can be annoying. Wires get in the way, and iPod cases can get really smelly and gross. But Oakley may have a solution. The Oakley Split THUMP sunglasses ($175) come with a built-in MP3 player that doesn't require any wires, and gives you seven hours of play. They come equipped with removable ear buds that attach to the glasses themselves, and the player can be controlled with buttons on the side of the frame.

The glasses are made to be sweat-resistant, and the built-in MP3 player can download music straight from your computer, whether you're a Mac or a PC. While the idea seems pretty cool, I feel like an iPod might be easier to control while exercising. What do you think of these glasses?

Convert YouTube Videos to MP3 Files With Dirpy

I love robot voices! They always sound weird and robotic and hilarious all at the same time. VozMe is a website that lets you create mp3s from text and already has me in geeky giggle fits. You just type something in the text box and hit "create mp3" and a robot will say what you just typed. You can even save your creations by clicking "download mp3" in the pop-up window, and then do a "save as" from your browser. The robotic voice even works in Spanish and you can add VozMe to your iGoogle page. My head is spinning with pranking opportunities and who my first victims will be - looks like the pizza guy is about to get an order from Hal!

JooZoo: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

That's not a fancy dog tag, it's JooZoo, a new portable mp3 player for pets created by Korean company Innobitz. I'm not quite convinced it will relieve pet's stress and improve health as the company claims, and a doggy mp3 player seems like just another gadget for those with money to burn.

And, actually, quite a bit of cash burns at that – this 18-karat gold and diamond-encrusted device costs between $1,500 and $2,000. Am I overreacting here? I know you have an opinion, too, so share it with me!

The New Samsung U3 USB MP3 Player

Samsung has just come out with a new compact mp3 player that looks like a cross between the nano and the shuffle. Featured on CrunchGear, the Samsung U3 USB mp3 player comes in 1GB ($79), 2GB ($99), and 4GB ($149) sizes and is charged/docked via a USB connection. All you have to do is plug it into the port and drag and drop music - just like you would do with an iPod. Each player features an LCD display screen, a FM radio, voice recording and file storage. If the pink isn't screaming your name, they also come in green, blue, white and black. Expect to see them in stores by the end of the month.
