I've come across a bunch of cute, quirky mouse pads recently that also double as notepads; the problem with all of them, though, is that using them as notepads means you're tossing paper in the trash every time you want a fresh sheet.

I'm used to rhapsodizing over how much I love Thomas Paul stuff when I'm looking at home stuff, but the dreamy designer has done me proud by making Mouse Pads in his famous designs.

Each mouse pad is as functional as it is pretty - they double as notepads for scribbling - and they're only $9 each, a far cry from what his pricey pillows and other accessories normally cost.

Too Cool For School: Headphones Mouse Pad

Mouse pads are usually just cute, maybe sometimes fun, but they're almost never this rad! The Headphones Mouse Pad ($7) is made from an original screenprint design - the medley of colors and the headphone print are TDF, right?

It's way cooler than the primary-color gel-wrist mouse pad I'm rocking right now, so maybe it's time to change it up. My mouse will thank me.

I write on anything and everything near me, and flip out when I can't find a Post-it note, so this would be perfect for me. Though I'd be going through pages like gangbusters. Better order two!

Modern Cool: DWR's Aluminum Mouse Pad

A lot of people don't like modern because it can be cold, but sometimes when it is that means it's really, really cool.

Such is the case with DWR's Aluminum Mouse Pad ($35), which is spare, striking and literally cold to the touch (except for the felt wrist rest, natch).
