Considering most of you were fans of the mood light shower radio, how do you feel about jewelry mood sensors for your body? Philips alongside a European project Stella have developed stretchable, flexible electronic adhesives for your body that integrate energy supply, sensors, actuators, and display features. Discussed on Gizmodo, Skintile the wireless Electronic Sensing Jewelry can light up depending on your mood, revealing your inner emotions to the outside world. I guess you don't have to sport these sensors all the way down your back like the model below, which is somewhat reassuring. Even if they were stuck on my hand, I don't think I'd want mood revealing electronic adhesives anywhere on my body. What do you think? Leave your comments below!

11 Things You Need to Throw Away

The first step to taking care of yourself and de-stressing is to make sure that your environment is in order. Seeing your house full of clutter can affect your mood negatively and make your personal space seem like a place you want to escape from, rather than something to look forward to coming home to. Organize a "throwing out" day every month to make sure that you don't have clutter building up. Here are some things you should consider purging from your home:

Old magazines. Get rid of old magazines you have lying around because chances are, you aren't going to read them again. Find places where you can donate your magazines to such as child care centers, doctor's offices, nail salons, nursing homes, and libraries. If there's an article that really speaks to you, scan a digital image of it and keep it in your computer. Or keep a folder of magazine clippings if you like saving magazine articles.
Receipts, bills, and documents. Throw away receipts for items that you aren't planning on returning, and ones that you won't need to use come tax time. If you're wary of throwing away receipts, you can make a digital copy of them with a basic scanner, a pricey specialized receipt scanner ($174), or a smartphone app ($2). Clothes. Use the two-year-rule for clothes - get rid of apparel that you haven't worn in two years. Sell them to a thrift store (find a thrift store at thethriftshopper.com) or donate them to the needy.
Books. Go through your bookshelf and gather together books you haven't touched in months and ones that you aren't planning on rereading. Be realistic and make sure you're ruthless. If you haven't touched it in a year, you're most likely not going to read it again. Sell the books on Amazon, Craigslist, or eBay. You can even trade them for something else on swap.com. You can always donate them as well!
Medicine and vitamins. Take a look at your medicine closet and clear out drugs that have expired, medicine that has sat on your shelf for too long, or ones that you no longer use. First, check to see what the proper disposal methods are for the medication, and if you can't find any, check to see if your community has a drug take-back program. If there isn't a program near you, then the FDA advises mixing medicine with "used coffee grounds or kitty litter" in a container or sealable bag before throwing it away to make the drugs less appealing.

Make the Most of Your Lunchtime Workout

The best way to combat work-related weight gain - not to mention on-the-job stress - is to work out in the middle of your workday. We know cramming a sweat session into your lunch hour often involves some serious logistics, but with a little planning, leaving your desk at noon won't create stresses of its own. Here are tips, tried and true, to help maximize your workout.

Before Heading to the Gym
Time your meals and snacks so your stomach is not growling or stuffed when you hit the gym. Between one to two hours before working out, have a carb-packed snack. Think of it like a mini second breakfast: a little granola with skim milk or some trail mix.

Save time by wearing office-appropriate workout wear to skim minutes off your preworkout locker room time. Just be sure to pack fresh clothes for heading back to office.

Power walk to the gym to jump-start your warmup and get the thought of work out of your mind. I use this time to take off my jewelry and put on my heart rate monitor watch.

Locker Room Prep
Having a well organized gym bag - we like 'em with lots of pockets - can seriously cut down on the frantic nature of a quick change. I also know exactly where to reach to find my word lock, which I consider a time-saver too. The one word combination is much easier to remember than three pairs of numbers.

The weather is beautiful in San Francisco today, and I'm in a sprightly, colorful mood. Pop art seems to be the only thing that'll cure my cravings for cheerful, vibrant design. The big V-day is coming up, and it's an occasion that can become quite spendy if you're not too careful with your money. The chocolates, nice dinner out, exchange of presents, or even a romantic trip can all add up.

The National Retail Federation predicts that this year, the average American will shell out $116 on Valentine's festivities. This is up 11 percent from last year. 2011 Fall New York Fashion Week: Ralph Lauren

Inspired by the smoky mystery of the Far East, Ralph Lauren gave us a little Shanghai surprise this morning. With a soft version of David Bowie's "China Girl" playing in the background, models emerged in mostly black, often lustrous ensembles accessorized with jade earrings and red lacquered heels. The silhouettes remained classic - halter dresses, tuxedos, shawl coats - but he achieved a dramatic, sexy mood via rich satiny fabrics and sparkling details. There was ornate beading on dresses, including a black dress that shone from being covered entirely in black beads, wrap dresses done in a luxurious garnet-hued panné velvet, and a double-breasted suit in shantung silk that inspired visions of Marlene Dietrich in Shanghai Express. Ralph had his menswear moment as well, showing pinstripe trousers with a jade green silk top and sharply tailored tuxedos. Long live the '60s! In Kate Spade's world, we're all having breakfast at Tiffany's with Andy Warhol and we're never, ever too old or too cool for a good bow. At their showroom presentation, complete with their own New York City bagel cart, Kate Spade showed her knack for all things retro, girly, and colorful. Graphic prints made it onto handbags and dresses; oversized costume jewelry was designed to be layered, pumps got feather pompoms and crystal-encrusted heels, and wool hats were done in rainbows of color. The clothing stayed true to classic silhouettes, including full-skirted day dresses, A-line sheaths, and a cool faux leopard jacket. It's like an eternal good mood pervades Kate's technicolor world, and we like good moods.
