I love my Lomo and use it as much as I can, so this weekend I'll be celebrating the occasion by packing my Holga wherever I go and snapping away. After all the fun I had making my photos look like tiny models with the Tilt-Shift effect, I had to look for something new to add to my effects arsenal. I love my Lomo camera and the effect it produces, but to be honest, I don't always have the cash to throw down for film or development. It can get pretty darn expensive!

So if you're in the same boat, we can save some cash together by playing around with our digital photos in Photoshop with the Lomo Effect. It makes your pics look like they were expertly shot and developed using the plastic cameras with just a few simple steps. Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Red Oktomat Camera

The fun functionality of the Oktomat Camera by Lomo cannot be ignored: It has eight small lenses that "fire and turn" in 2.5 seconds, creating a multi-frame mini photo vignette. And while it's only $35, one has to wonder if the camera is a little too chunky in this era of super slim cameras. Does the camera's shape and noisy design overshadow its purpose, or do you think it's appropriate that it's a little bulky? After all, it is taking eight photos at once!

Do You Ever Experiment With Funky Fun Cameras?

Lately I've been seeing quite the array of unique manual cameras. Remember the colored Lomolitos cameras and the hilarious fisheye lens camera? And check out this one below - the Lomo Oktomat 35mm camera with eight built-in lenses. By taking one shot, this camera will produce eight sequential images on a single 35mm negative. Usually I just take pictures with my digital cam and play around with photoshop for cool effects, but I'm curious to know if you ever use any artsy cameras like these ones? Each camera comes pre-loaded with 24-exposure film and a single colored filter that can be switched on or off. For $11, you can give it a try and pitch it if you don't like the results. The Pink Lomo: A Pink Gadget Even I Can Love

I know I'm totally all over the place about my stance on pink gadgets. On the one hand, I hate that it's a go-to color weakly used to market gadgets to women.

On the other hand, when a gadget is merely offered in pink additionally, and not just in a "It's pink! For girls!" way, I can be into it. Especially if it's hot pink. This The Mr. Pink Diana Lomo Camera ($105) in hot, hot pink demonstrates my point.

The fact that its name references an awesome (if pretty masculine) movie also gets it on my good side. Oh Lomo, you can't really do any wrong.

If my tutorial sideshow about what Lomo cameras are all about gave you a sudden interest in the retro cameras, now is a good time to get in on the action - Urban Outfitters has two new Lomos in shiny, shiny chrome.

The Diana F+ Camera Chrome Edition one-ups the original black and turquoise Diana and comes in at $90 with a matching flash.

Meanwhile, the Lomography Fisheye 2 Chrome Edition, on the right ($110), is plastic like the chrome Diana, but its rendering makes it look metal, doesn't it?
