Nico Reilly's Cell Phone Evolution
When Lipstick Jungle's Nico Reilly showed up with a white iPhone 3G during this week's episode, I'm pretty sure my eyes bugged out like an old-timey cartoon. Wasn't it JUST the week before that she debuted a black iPhone 3G? This TV character's cell phone upgrades are as dizzying as another blonde diva's in her second season.
Lipstick Jungle's Nico Upgrades Her iPhone to a 3G
We've talked before about how Lipstick Jungle is pretty much exclusively Apple now, and how all three leading ladies have iPhones, but until this week's episode, they all had first generation phones. No longer — tiger shark editrix Nico Reilly is the first one to get an iPhone 3G.
Her new iPhone is black, and this placement does make sense for Nico, being the one with the most high-powered, fashion-oriented job.
Hollywood Loves SLRs!
"Being the muse never works out!" Blair warned Serena in this week's Gossip Girl, before she got photographed by Aaron. I loved the sequence of black and white shots that ensued, and it reminded me that Hollywood also loves photographers who love their SLRs!

Remember when the characters of Lipstick Jungle had flip phones instead of smartphones, and then overnight, someone got wise and replaced all their gadgets with geeky hotness? Now they've all got Macs and iPhones; seriously, it's like someone put an apple in a blender on the set and blasted it with no lid on. Check out my slideshow for who's got what!
Do You Use a Laptop at Work?
The elegant ladies of Lipstick Jungle are Apple lovers — two women have MacBook Airs while one has a MacBook Pro. The most notable thing about their laptops is that they use them at work (and in the bathroom, yuck).
Gone are the days when everyone had a company-issued desktop computer, and here to stay is the time when work goes with you via your BlackBerry and laptop.
Dahlia's Lipstick Jungle iPhone Case
iPhone spotting is my favorite Wednesday night sport when I'm watching Lipstick Jungle. Even though the gadget situation started off rocky at the beginning of the first season, it now appears that all the characters went on one big shopping trip to Apple to buy iPhones (first-gen ones though, maybe they got them on Craigslist?)
Since I love the way these girls dress and accessorize, I'd like to see them sporting some chic laptop bags and phone cases, but I am pleased to see that Dahlia (played by the fabulous Rosie Perez), Victory's new publicist, has a silicone case on her iPhone. I thought it was clear at first, but now I'm pretty sure it's smoke, like this one from Overstock.
Lipstick Jungle: Three's a Charm With the White Handhelds
This seventh episode of Lipstick Jungle was appropriately called "Carpe Threesome" although it had more to do with Victory's sexual escapades than the phone appearances.
The ladies (and men) definitely gave their beloved cell phones a good workout this week, with Nico finding out her husband suffered a heart attack and Wendy dealing with a procrastinating scriptwriter, there were a ton of text messages and phone calls to go around.

Not a ton of gadgetry this week, although cell phones definitely dominated the show. How could Wendy downgrade her stylin' iPhone for a pink (?) mini handheld?
