The Strong And Sturdy MacTruck

This laptop case would probably make the ideal Father's Day present, especially for my dad who seems to throw around gadgets like they're going out of style. With no frills and gimmicks, the MacTruck is made out of aluminum alloy that the maker's claim is tough enough to drive a truck over. Translation: This case is the lotus of laptop protectors. You can even leave it in the case while you use it as it features full access to all ports and keeps your laptop secure in a high-density poly padding at either a 90 or 180 degree angle from the base. And for a hot MacBook like mine, the MacTruck has a 5mm air channel at the bottom of the case to keep your laptop nice and cool.
I'd have to agree with Geekologie in saying that this pseudo briefcase/laptop case would look pretty cool handcuffed to your wrist. Prices range from $200 to $230.

The Super Slim Intel Mobile Metro Notebook

Wouldn't you agree that these look more like purses with built in e-book readers than laptops? Intel has come up with this prototype laptop - it was actually co-created with Ziba design - that seems to be the catwalk model of laptops. In fact, it's already been nicknamed the "world's skinniest laptop" and measures 0.7 inches thick and weighs only 2.25 pounds. And if you do the math, that's only a quarter of an inch thicker than a Motorola Razr - very impressive!Intel still needs to fine-tune this model but you can expect features like WiFi, EVDO, WiMAX, and a flash memory hard drive. And according to Gizmodo, these laptops will let you attach a strap so it looks like a real fashion accessory. I'll believe it when I see it! Wondering when you'll be able to purchase this teeny notebook? They could be on the market as early as the end of this year.

Anything that's pink grabs my attention, even if it's a $3,000 splatter-painted laptop. Talk about total designer as these limited edition Arttops from Cenio come hand signed by the artist Selwyn Senatori. The most alluring feature of this laptop is its style, as its specs aren't overly remarkable in terms of functionality, speed, and hard drive size. So if you've got the cash to spare, you better get one quick as there will only be a hundred built.

Protect Your Laptop With A 'See Thru' Case

I always transport my MacBook in a Tucano notebook case but I am still looking for more creative and colorful ways to dress it up. What I've found is this great See Thru Hard Shell for MacBook, which is essentially a two piece snap-on protective hard shell that's compatible with 15" MacBook Pro Core Duo and Core 2 Duo computers. (There are additional sizes on the website as well.)

I like the idea of the case because it allows protection and access to all features at the same time. I hate to admit it, but I have ruined a computer with a spill in my bag and my current computer is only a few months old and covered in scratches. The See Thru Hard Shell for MacBook is $49.95.
