OK, I'll admit it, for someone who isn't even going back to school, I may be getting a little too obsessed with covering
back to school products. But overall, I think it's safe to say I have a laptop obsession in general. .

The $25 Dave laptop table from Ikea still holds a special place in my heart — as well as a special place in both my bedroom and living room (tee-hee). But look out Mr. Dave, there's a sexier laptop stand in town and he's popping up at Target stores across the country. Unlike the Dave laptop table, the Ergonomic laptop desk from Target is made of metal in a laminate walnut finish, which you'll pay for with the table costing $50.

I'm always hearing about ingenious and inventive ways people manage to use their hot laptops on their laps — whether it be angled on the couch arm, a pillow, or a TV tray, there's always some sort of protective barrier involved. I myself use a variety of things, including a basic breakfast-in-bed tray (when I'm in bed) and my Dave laptop stand when I'm cross-legged on the couch. If you're still looking for a new stand for either your desk, bed, couch, or coffee table, here are some chic designs that may do the trick!

I've never really been that into laptop cushions, mostly because they remind me of those padded desks I used as a kid on road trips.
They've just never seemed that comfortable — until I spotted the Brada laptop cushion on a trip to Ikea this weekend.
Its comfy half-moon shape would be ergonomic, and easier to use when you just want to sink into your couch — or, as per their staging suggestion, while chillaxin' in bed.

For those of you who liked InCase's pink hard case laptop covers but still think $50 is a tad steep for a basic case, I offer you these gorgeous laptop decals by Etsy seller michellechristina. Simple, stunning, and only $14, these stickers don't look as janky as some skins can, and I find the flower design rather breathtaking.
The pink flowers are totally my favorite (why have I suddenly warmed to pink?!

This past weekend I ventured off to Ikea for an Easter weekend shopping excursion and I totally hit the jackpot. Feast your eyes on these Dave laptop tables that are perfect for couch laptop users like myself. Laptop on lap = too hot, laptop on coffee table = too low, laptop on the Dave laptop stand = just right.

I've seen decorative skins for wiimotes, iPods, laptop screens, mouse pads, and gaming consoles, but I've never seen anything like this before — stylish skins for your trackpad. Yes SkinStyler has designed these skins to add some flair to your otherwise plain trackpad — maybe it's just me but I've never thought of sticking anything on my trackpad.
When I first saw them on Chip Chick, I was a tad skeptical (it affecting scrolling capabilities), but SkinStyle claims that they actually increase trackpad sensitivity.

My alter ego must be an audiophile, because when I saw Belkin's new portable mixing board called the Tune Studio at Macworld, I totally geeked out. A full-on, four-channel mixer that records right onto iPod classics, second and third gen Nanos, and fifth generation iPods to capture jam sessions, podcasts, and of course, tinkerings from the garage in 16 bit, 44kHz quality.
To demo the mixer, Belkin recorded a live band earlier in the day via Tune Studio.

The "Something Is in the Air" Apple theme made its way into the Griffin booth during Macworld yesterday. At first glance I thought these rockets were small radios or even shuffle docs, but it turns out they have a much geekier purpose.
The RocketFM transmits music from apps like iTunes or Garage Band, and it can even stream Internet radio to any FM receiver within 30 feet.

As attached as I am to my laptop, when I imagine myself lying in the sun poolside, I can't seem to envision myself glued to it. Nonetheless, the good folks at LapDome made sure that those of you who suffer with GSA (Gadget Separation Anxiety) are good to go, even when you're on vacay. Spotted at MacWorld, the LapDome acts as the ultimate bodyguard for your laptop:
This laptop computer carry case transforms into a sheltered, darkened work environment.
