After the success of the Zi6 pocket recorder, Kodak has decided to improve their line-up of camcorders by introducing the Zi8, which can easily be compared to Pure Digital's latest — the Flip Ultra HD. Available in red, black, and blue for only $180, the Zi8 offers 1080p recording, a 2.5-inch LCD display, a SD card slot, Facebook functionality, and can capture 5-megapixel stills. Kodak even announced that it'll be able to capture video in low-lighting conditions, something the Flip hasn't been able to do.

I spied this collection of vintage packaging the other day, and while I was charmed, I'm sure, I didn't think anything would make me long for the days before digital.
But there you have it — vintage packaging of a Kodak film canister. The white metal can is a million times more fun than a memory card, and it's having me consider becoming a collector of these.

Wow, the adorable Obama girls are impressing me more and more each day. We already knew that Malia rocked a Kodak M893 digital camera during the inauguration festivities on Tuesday, well the other night, her little sis' Sasha was spotted with a Flip video camcorder at the We Are the Future Kids Ball. Considering Santa brought them a Wii this year for Christmas, I can't say I'm surprised by all their tech toys!

At CES this week, Kodak showed off its 7.6-inch OLED digital picture frame that can store up to 10,000 photos on 2GB of internal memory. Usually I don't go ga ga over digital picture frames — I feel they are best suited for parents or grandparents — but I can't help but take notice at the plethora of functions this model has. With WiFi that can connect to RSS feeds, Flickr, and Kodak Gallery accounts, and you can access the news, weather and sports.

I'm obviously a big fan of the Flip Video camera because of its portability and simple video uploading functions. My YouTube page has never been easier to populate! And of course, since the Flip was first on the scene, there are bound to be challengers pop up with improved capabilities.

Look out Flip Mino, there's a new pocket cam in town, Kodak's Zi6 HD, she's mini, she's mighty and she comes color coated in pink or black.
The good? She only weighs 3.8 ounces, comes with a built-in USB connector, her memory can be expanded with an SD card, and she runs off AA batteries.

Finding the perfect camera case can be a daunting task. First you have to decide if you want a case that fits into a purse, or if you can settle for a case that doubles as a wallet as well. Then there are size issues, and making sure the case will protect your camera plus finding something that is reasonably priced.
