Yuck! This month's Marie Claire pinpoints the dirtiest things on your desktop, and what were at the top of the list?
Your mouse, at 846 germs per square inch, and your keyboard, at 719.

- This is surprising news. Sony's PlayStation 3 not only beat out the Xbox 360 in sales last month (in Japan), but it surpassed Nintendo Wii sales as well. — CrunchGear
- According to a Giz reader, Steve Wozniak was unfairly eliminated from Dancing With the Stars last week because David Allen Grier completely botched a Lindy Hop dance routine.

Despite touchscreen keys for phones becoming more popular, there's always been something so satisfying about typing on a keyboard. From the clack, clack, clack of old typewriters to the tap, tap, tap of computer keyboards, and now on to the boop boop boop of touchscreens, the keyboard is our communication stepping stone.
And the keyboard makes up actual stepping stones for the geekiest (and largest?) monument to the peripheral, seen in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

When a new smartphone comes out, one of the first things I look for is whether it has a touchscreen keyboard or a physical keyboard. When T-Mobile's G1 came out, I was mildly surprised that it was physical, rather than onscreen, because I thought it may be closer in design to the iPhone.
Not to be outdone, it looks like Android will devise an onscreen keyboard for the G1 as well, leaving you with both options to type.

Seal Shield was first on the scene with their $50 dishwasher-safe keyboards and now they've just released their second gen waterproof keyboards, the Silver Seal keyboards. Both washable and antimicrobial, this keyboard is perfect for all the germaphobes in your life who cringe knowing their keyboards harbor more bacteria than a toilet seat. Silver Seal keyboards are made with antimicrobial plastic that uses all natural, pure silver ions to help kill contaminants .

I think I could see these keyboard cuff links on the wrists of a geeky guy that I love. Etsy user BeaG makes these cuff links from old keyboard keys for $9 a pair, but I might like them more if you could choose the initials that the cuff links come in. But cuff links are pretty formal, and keyboard keys may not be the black-tie impression he wants to make.
