Jessica Simpson was back in Texas on Saturday with Daisy in her arms and Tony by her side. The couple rang in the New Year in Miami, and hopefully there was plenty of rest and relaxation for Tony after his scary post-game collapse in the shower last week. Now that his football season is over until next year, Jessica will have plenty of time to nurse her man back to health in the upcoming months, but the real question on our minds is whether or not an engagement is in the cards for the happy couple in 2009.

Even though there are so many on-again, off-again celebrity couples out there, it's easy to have a favorite. Jessica Simpson made an appearance at a Macy's in the OC on Saturday to promote her Fancy perfume, which is one of many popular debuts of 2008. The singer is also holding strong on the hardest working celebrities list but with all of her projects, Jessica remains concentrated on her love life. InTouch reports that Jess has been talking to Tony Romo about getting married this Summer in Texas so that they can work on having a baby.

Ashlee Simpson made her first post-baby debut Monday night and was out again yesterday for Pete Wentz's "Without You I'm Just Me" art gallery opening in LA. Ashlee's whole family joined in on the fun, including Jessica matching her sister in stripes. Nicole Richie seems to travel with both Madden boys these days, and hopefully she and Joel can pass on some tips to their friends Ashlee and Pete on being a new parent.

Jessica Simpson looked hot on her way into dinner at Maestro's steakhouse in Beverly Hills last night. She said her primary goal when in LA was to be an aunt and daughter, but it looks like she needed some social time as well. New mom Ashlee stepped out on the town herself this week, so maybe the girls can get Tina to babysit for a sisterly night out.

Jessica Simpson toted Daisy in her chic pet carrier arriving at LAX last night after a weekend out promoting her fragrance. While in Chicago, Jessica talked about returning to LA to be an "aunt and daughter" as well as her excitement to go on tour this January and prove herself to everyone again. She said, "I am a very shy person, but I do believe that God has blessed me with a gift that I need to share.
