Macworld 2010: Bone Keeps Your Gadgets Safe While You Sweat

Taking a walk around the Macworld Expo is like walking into a massive Apple store. Minus the computers, of course. One booth that caught my eye was Bone Collection, which was stocked with iPod and iPhone armbands, skins, and protectors. First up: the armbands. Not only are the Bone armbands made from a tough, rubbery material to protect your gadget from accidental drops, but its strap is silky smooth and comes with ventilation holes so you don't sweat the band off your arm. The best part is the bands are thin, so you don't have to worry about a bulky band banging against your arm while you work it out.

Bone also features some sweet silicone skins that come with an attached cord manager, so you can rock out on the move and keep tabs on your earbuds when you're done (instead of losing them to the depths of your bag). Fred and Friends' Rew Keeps Your Earbud Cords Untangled

The relationship between man and cord is an uneasy alliance. They're necessary, but annoying.

There are a slew of products for cord management at home, but your earbud cords are sometimes the most irritating to keep tangle-free.

Geek Tip: Keep Your iPod Cords Untangled For Free

The Budcozys I posted the other day got an overwhelming "Leave It" response, so I figured I'd share an old Lifehacker tip on how to keep your iPod cords untangled, no new product to buy or anything. I like to call it the "Lifehacker Devil Horn Hand Wrap." And trust me, the title's much more complicated than the technique.

You make a devil horn with your fingers as in the diagram, hold the earbuds down with your index and middle fingers, and then wrap the cords around each "devil horn" like a figure eight. Take the last six inches of cord and circle it around the figure-eight wrap. Take it off your fingers and it's a nice little package that unravels with no knots at all. It may not read simply, but it is once you get the hang of it. If I can do it, you can definitely do it.

Yes, I'm afraid it's true, I am one of those iPod cord abusers who wraps her earphone cord entirely around her iPod when it's not in use.
