Last week at the Philips event in Portugal, I got to check out innovative new products like the Prestigo remote and like this new device — the Philips Tapster. In the video below you'll get a sneak peek at how it functions, but basically with this Bluetooth stereo headset, you can easily switch between your music and incoming phone calls by using simple gestures. With stellar sound quality, a comfortable feel when on the ear, and crystal clear reception, this is going to be one hot little product when it's released later this year.

Oh yeah, this is better than driving with a cell phone to your ear. When exactly would you use this Hair Dryer Cell Phone Headset ($8)? Seeing as though it doesn't make your hands free, driving is out, and on that same token, you can't clean the house while talking to your mom on the phone.

If you've already received a ticket for cruising around in California with one hand on the wheel and one hand holding your phone, I have a little something to make getting that ticket seem less depressing. Aliph, the maker of the uber-stylish Jawbone headsets (a personal fave and one of my June Must Haves), is offering you a discount when you buy one of their cool headsets!
Just enter in your citation number on the Aliph website to receive a nice $20 discount — that's the amount of the ticket itself!

California's hands-free wireless telephone law may have taken effect July 1, but celebs like Seal and David Beckham were already ready for the big day since they are both avid bluetooth headset users. "Whenever I’m driving around L.A. or heading to practice, I use my Motorola H12 to keep me connected to my mobile phone," says Beckham.

On July 1, California's new state law that requires drivers to use hands-free technology like headsets and bluetooth-enabled devices will take full effect. The Policy Institute of California is predicting that this new law will save around 300 lives a year (a 7 percent decline in fatal car accidents), considering the drop other states have noticed since enforcing the law.
The penalty if you get caught talking with your phone to your ear?

Before you start laughing, I'll admit that eMagin's SVGA 3DS OLED-XL microdisplay headsets aren't particularly sexy, but who needs glamorous gear when you've got extraordinary pieces of technology right before your eyes?! With this microdisplay you get both analog- and digital-signal process in a tiny compact display, therefore eliminating the need for an external television screen.
When I tested out the OLED microdisplay, it was connected to a Dreamaz Indicube personal media player, which allowed me to watch videos on a virtual screen size equivalent to 52 incheds by 2 meters!

On top of David Beckham taking his shirt off for the newly released Motorola RAZR2, our favorite footballer has also appeared in ads for the MOTOROKR S9, a slim Bluetooth headset that integrates wireless mobile music and calls. If you're like me and tend to pay more attention to the gadgets and gizmos on TV than the actual content, you've probably already seen the headset — along with about 50 other trendy gadgets — in Fergie's most recent video, Big Girls Don't Cry. I haven't seen the device in person, but I like the fact that it fits around the back of your head, which is always great for working out and doesn't mess up your hair.

Usually whenever I see a Bluetooth headset I can't help but think, "ugh, that's so ugly!" Thankfully Korea has been busy whipping up some chic pink headsets that are sure to be mistaken for cute MP3 players. Brought to you by AVING, the BHP-012 Bluetooth headset from Pionstep offers 20 hours of talk time, 16 hours of audio playback and 250 hours of standby time.

So this might be a no-brainer in terms of its "totally geeky or geek chic?" factor, but I couldn't help but share the Angel wake-up alarm with you. When I first saw this device on Geek Alerts, I couldn't believe my eyes.
