If you're like me and think Colorware is pretty adorable but balk (and by balk I mean loudly declaring "Aw, hell no!") at the prices, then I have a great alternative. InCase has been making its hard case for a while now - and now the hard case comes in pink! It not only protects your MacBook like a case when you're toting it around, but you can use the computer when it's on too, so the white MacBook really does becomes your blank canvas!

I think it's just as cute as Colorware, and it's only 50 bucks. Incase seems pretty in favor of pink gadget accessories lately, but I think the hard case is the cutest. Don't fear the pink.

Hard Graft Debuts New Felty, Sexy HIGH Collection

The last bag I saw by Hard Graft made me want to sell all my furniture to be able to afford it.

Now they're back with a new fleece line called the HIGH Collection, and it has me feeling what its name suggests.

The gorgeous set is comprised of cases for laptops, cameras, iPhones, iPods, even a Kindle case (and I know my way around chic Kindle cases).

The felt and leather accents run from about $60 for the cheapest case (for the iPod/iPhone) to $120 for the laptop sleeve.

Protect Your External Hard Drive With a Cooling Case

I've already told you that it's probably a good idea to get an external hard drive to back up your data, but they aren't always the most attractive things to put on your desk. But if you have a good sense of humor, and an affinity for wacky desk accessories, then you'll totally love these External Hard Drive Cases from Meninos.

Not only are these cases fun, but they also keep your hard drive cool with a two fan cooler, and they come with a number of essential cords like the USB 2.0, an external AC adapter, and of course a power cord. I could call these kooky and silly, but one word I won't be able to use to describe these cases is: cheap. Each case comes in at $190 bucks, and if you want to buy a hard drive with the case, the price only goes up from there!

Are Facebook Photos Fair Game For Insurance Companies?

I just came across a story about a woman in Canada who lost insurance benefits because of a photo posted on Facebook. The woman was on medical leave from her job due to severe depression, and was receiving monthly disability payments from an insurance company. After she stopped receiving payments, she called her insurance company, who told her that she should be available to work because of photos she posted on Facebook that showed her looking happy and having a good time - hardly experiencing the crippling depression that kept her from going to work.

After the case started making headlines, the woman's insurance company issued a statement saying they would not terminate a policy based solely on something posted on Facebook; it remains to be seen whether or not the woman in question will be allowed to once again receive benefits.

I've heard countless stories of people being fired or getting into serious trouble for things they posted on Facebook, and even came up with a list of suggestions for how not to get in trouble on the site, but this case seems a bit extreme. What do you think?

Finally! An Absolutely Brilliant iPhone Case

I am beyond excited about this case that I just discovered on Chip Chick. I have long complained that although my iPhone has an excellent camera that takes great photos, it's useless in less-than-direct light. Now, finally, a solution.

The Beamer ($32) is a hard plastic case with a built-in light. The light is battery powered - so it won't drain your phone's batter - and stays on for 10 seconds at a time. It's perfect to use as a light for your phone's camera, or just as a flashlight.

I recently wrote about an app for the BlackBerry that turns the flash into a flashlight, and I have to admit, I was jealous that the iPhone would never have the same ability.

Cool Capture: A Black and White Long Exposure Experiment

There are so many awesome photos to choose from in our Cool Capture group, that it's getting hard to decide which one to feature here! If you're anything like me (and I have a feeling you are), then you always have a camera handy just in case an opportune moment arises to capture something beautiful, just like GeekSugar community member icecreamsprinkle who shot this image. I adore light trails, and sometimes it's experimentation that gets you the best results. She says:

Using my Canon PowerShot SD870 IS, I took this picture while experimenting with the long exposure setting on the highway at night and it was raining.
