You think your mom is Super Woman, so why not show her how you feel with an animated card this Mother's Day from Card Funk? Upload a few of your best pics into the photo editor, including those of your mom, dad, and brother or sister, and watch her go! I love how TeamSugar member mharvent made Angelina Jolie into a Super Mom, with Brad, Pax, and Zahara as costars!

The only bummer is, if you're an only child, you're gonna have to pretend on this one - there doesn't seem to be a way to delete characters from the animation. But hey, I'm sure mom won't mind seeing your face on both kid's bodies - it's the thought that counts.

How To: Create a Virtual Xmas Tree E-card

Here's an e-card that is not only fun to send, but fun to make as well! Grow an Xmas Tree is an interactive site that helps you create your very own personalized Christmas-tree e-card.

It's really simple. . . . Just choose your background template and text color (give the rainbow a whirl for added effect) and start typing your message! The tree can only hold 240 characters, so don't go overboard. As you can see here I typed "Happy Holidays from geeksugar!" Once you are finished, send to your friends and family to enjoy.

It's fun, it's festive and best of all, it's free!

Mother's Day Video eCards: Like Hugging Mom Over the Internet

Even though my mom isn't the most technologically hip mom on the block, I still like to toss a nice eCard into the mix every holiday. The more practice she can get "spinning up" her own email - the better! And even though I'll be far away from my mom this coming Sunday, I can make her feel like I'm right there beside her with a video eCard.

By using free sites like eVcards, or Motionbox, you can upload your custom videos and send them to mom on her special day. If you're looking for something with a little more production value (and something without you as the star), Rattlebox offers up a gaggle of funny and totally touching video eCards that you can send straight to her inbox with your own personalized message.

Not into the whole "webcamming" of yourself and would rather send a more subtle eCard? I have a few more ideas up my sleeve when you read more

The site Blue Mountain offers a number of giggle inducing and tear jerker eCards for you to choose from.
Always the "go-to" for cards, Hallmark is jumping into the eCard arena, even supplementing your eCard with a few fun games to send to her as well.
Got a Stepmom with a sense of humor? Sony pictures is serving up a few hilarious eCards of their own based off the new Stepbrothers flick due to hit theaters in July.

With all these choices, you're sure to have Mom's inbox covered this Sunday. Just don't forget to call as well. She'll truly appreciate it!

For cute, no-fuss ecards, you may want to head on over to flyGreetings - because where else can you find cards that say things like "Let's Get a Mani" or "You're Preggers, Congrats!"?!

With a tagline of "free does not have to be cheap or cheesy," flyGreetings cards are classy, so you don't have to worry about weird flash animation or corny songs playing when your friend sees the card. Totally geek chic in my opinion.

Show Your Love Today With an E-Card

E-cards have come a long way since Al Gore invented the Internet. They are no longer just boring messages accompanied by popular cartoon characters and illustrations that look like something your great aunt would send you using snail mail. I love them because they are quick, easy, eco-friendly and can easily brighten someone's day.

Here are some of my favorite tragically hip E-card websites:

Someecards - I'm utterly addicted to this hilarious site with wacky, cheeky e-cards about friendship, flirting and the usual Hallmark holidays. The site is known for juxtaposing vintage-y images with witty and racy message. Warning: Some of the messages are of the explicit in nature, but the cards are completely safe for work.
Carded - The site has video cards for all "those small and embarrassing real-life moments that, until now, nobody made greeting cards for" and they are fantasticly funny. (My current favorites are the I wish I'd gone to prom with you and the pay attention to me! cards.)
iCards - If you're a Mac user you'll probably like these simple free, electronic postcards that come in a variety of styles. I can't say they are particularly funny, but if you're looking for something "normal" these will do the trick.

Send Valentine's Day E-Cards From the 30 Rock Cast

Geek Tip: Send Free eCards With iCards

Christmas and New Years may have just passed, but that doesn't mean you won't need to create any more eCards for birthdays or special occasions. iCards are free, electronic postcards that come in a variety of styles.

According to Tips 4 Mac, iCards can also be sent in bulk by clicking "hide distribution list" so no one will ever know that they got a card sent from a bulk email. Even if you don't have a dotMac account you can use iCards.

Geek Tip: Creating Last Minute Xmas Decorations and eCards

After finding these two links on the PC News Blog, I knew that they wouldn't go to waste-especially on the day before Christmas! The first link is a free downloadable paper Christmas tree that you can easily print out on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. After you download the PDF file and print out your tree, cut around the pattern and fold where indicated. And just like that, you'll have your very own festive and decorative (not to mention homemade) centerpiece for Christmas! The second link is from Yanko Design where you'll find some creative holiday cards from various designers. Print them out for decorations or share with others!

GroupCard Deletes Awkwardness From Co-Worker Card Ritual

Does anyone else dread having a card passed around at work for a colleague's birthday, congratulations, or his or her last day? Even if it's someone you genuinely like, having to sum up your sincere thoughts in a one-inch space of cardstock among your other coworkers' sentiments is just awkward. It's like the grown-up version of that yearbook peach "Have a great Summer!"

Thankfully, the website GroupCard eases the pain a little bit. There's no physical passing around, first of all - it's an electronic pass-around that's accomplished by just emailing the card to the people who need to sign it. You then send the e-card (who cherishes greeting cards from co-workers these days anyway?) to the recipient, and wish her well.

Of course, it can't help you craft an articulate note summing up the perfect sentiment. You're on your own for that one.
