The Bright and Sassy OLED Digital Picture Frame From Kodak

At CES this week, Kodak showed off its 7.6-inch OLED digital picture frame that can store up to 10,000 photos on 2GB of internal memory. Usually I don't go ga ga over digital picture frames - I feel they are best suited for parents or grandparents - but I can't help but take notice at the plethora of functions this model has. With WiFi that can connect to RSS feeds, Flickr, and Kodak Gallery accounts, and you can access the news, weather and sports. It also comes with a quick touch border and a 180-degree viewing angle, this is far more than a digital frame.

This OLED frame was on sale on Amazon for $999, but is currently out of stock, but I'd keep checking back if you've got some really rich relatives that are on the lookout for one.

You know how parents and grandparents plaster their fridge with pictures and various other forms of memorabilia? I think it's cute, but it can look totally cluttered and can give a minimalist an anxiety attack! Here's a simple solution. . . get a Fridge magnet digital frame. For $60 you can load up a 2.4-inch LCD frame, which comes with 32MB of memory (11 hours worth of pics), and also a built-in clock display. Get it all nice and fixed up for the grandparents and those pics of you taking a bath when you were three will be long gone off the fridge.

I still have yet to pimp my crib with lots of
digital photo frames. Why? Because I still like the idea of filling my wood frames with original prints. Nonetheless, I'm all about giving them as gifts, load em' up with pics and your grandparents will love you forever!

It looks like Rebecca Romijn has already gone digital with her new picture frame. She couldn't help but pose with her gift, which she's powering-up via her car to display her beautiful pics. And if you look closely, you'll notice that the frame is displaying a lovely picture of her and her hubby Jerry O'Connell!

Polaroid Creates a Versatile Digital Photo Frame

I like the fact that digital photo frames are finally starting to look like ordinary picture frames! In the next couple of weeks, Polaroid will be releasing this digital frame in Japan that comes with four designer frames to match any decor. Discussed on Fareast Gizmos, with the 7-inch XSJ-00750M frame you can easily view your pics with any flash memory card. It also supports MP3 playback and allows you to zoom your images up to 2, 4, 8, and 16 x times. Priced at $148. Let's just hope it makes its way to the U.S. in early '08!

MemoryVue Digital Photo/Video/Music Player

When I first saw this MemoryVue digital frame on GeekAlerts, I thought cute-such a great Christmas gift idea! Then I saw the price, which is around $1000 and I thought no way. Thankfully this frame does come with a few useful bells and whistles which compensates for its expensive price tag. The frame not only plays pictures, but songs and video clips as well. Each MemoryVue 1900 comes with a high resolution 19" screen, built-in stereo speakers and a remote control for slide show and player functions. Alot of great features, although I still wish it was a tv/digital photo frame for what it costs. I can't deny the fact that I still like it, especially the gold one (see below)!

Samsung's Latest Digital Photo Frame

Since most of you are like me and have swapped your old manual film cameras for digital cameras, I'm wondering if you've also swapped traditional picture developing for digital photo frames? I recently tried out Samsung's new digital photo frame- the SPF-72H, and was quite pleased with its overall performance. This 7 Inch high resolution frame has a sleek design and comes with a 90 degree rotating stand so you can have your pictures horizontal or vertical. To quickly upload pictures without having to use a computer, you can pop your camera's SD/MMC card or a USB memory stick into the back of the frame and copy your JPEG images directly onto it- or you can do the standard upload via your computer with the included USB cable. User-friendly directional and navigational buttons on the side of the frame guide you through photo preferences like slide show rotation with various effects. If you don't like the way your pictures are displayed, you can choose from options like original, fit to screen and fit to width (something I should have done for the image above)! Other great features include 128MB of built-in memory and a programmable clock with a timer that will turn the frame on or off at certain times. Unfortunately this frame only comes with Windows Vista support. Priced at $156.
