BlackBerry Joins John Mayer On Tour

First John Mayer declared that he was a geeky master gamer who loves playing Halo. Well it turns out he might also be a BlackBerry junkie as well!

Reuters has announced that BlackBerry will be sponsoring Mayer's 40-date tour which is set to begin June 1. BlackBerry is using the tour to help launch its upcoming AT&T mobile phone, the Curve.

The senior director of corporate marketing for Research In Motion is hoping that this partnership will help BlackBerry reach a new younger audience. On-site at each concert, people will be able to see, touch, feel and take pictures with the BlackBerry Curve so they can get an up close and personal look at this new sleek smartphone. Now if only I could get my hands on a pic of Mayer using the Curve...in due time!

T-Mobile's BlackBerry Curve 8900 Is Even Hotter in Person

I love my Curve, just like every celeb in Hollywood. And thankfully I didn't make the switch to a Bold (like my sister) because I can now upgrade to the new Curve - the 8900. Basically take the BlackBerry Storm's sleekness, the Bold's UI, and the Curve's reliability, and you've got yourself the new and improved Curve 8900. The Curve 8900 is noticeably thinner than the 8300, with RIM stating that it's actually the lightest and thinnest full-QWERTY BlackBerry Smartphone to date. It's got that nice smooth rubbery feel on the back, and with the new Atomic trackball, you'll notice it's a bit more sturdier than the one you'd find on a Pearl or older Curve models.

Other brilliant features include the 3.2-megapixel camera, the built in video camera, and the striking 480x360 pixel screen that shows off crisp images and bright colors. The backlit QWERTY keys take a bit of getting used to if you're used to the 8300, but all in all, not a huge adjustment to make. Overall, if you're a Curve user and a Curve fan in general, you'll fall madly in love with the 8900. Keep in mind this bad boy doesn't come with 3G.

Hello Lova: Sprint's New BlackBerry Curve 8530 in Royal Purple

I've seen pink BlackBerrys, gold BlackBerrys, white BlackBerrys, red BlackBerrys and then all of the standard-colored BlackBerrys, but royal purple? This is a delightful treat. The new BlackBerry Curve 8530 should be coming to Sprint some time this month, but we still don't know specifics about price (Verizon is charging $100 after a mail-in rebate, so you can expect something comparable).

Granted, it may not be the high-end BlackBerry Bold 9700, but it still offers the new trackpad, a QWERTY keyboard, WiFi functionality, and a 2-megapixel camera and camcorder.

If the new royal purple doesn't exactly do it for you, you can pick one up in black.

It's Official: The BlackBerry Curve 8520 Coming Aug. 5

Looks like it's time to add another BlackBerry to the quickly expanding list! Kristen Stewart Has a Pretty in Pink BlackBerry

While her Twilight costar, Robert Pattinson, is rockin' an old school flip phone, Kristen Stewart was spotted on an outing with Joan Jett holding onto a baby pink BlackBerry Curve 8330.

Let's rewind for a second. Taking into consideration her regular trips to the Apple Store and the fact that her character Bella in Twilight is a Nokia and Apple fan, I'm kinda surprised Kristen isn't an iPhone user. Although I must admit, I'm dually shocked at the fact she has a pink phone with her new grunge look.

BlackBerry makers Reasearch In Motion have introduced the BlackBerry Curve smartphone, which is apparently the smallest and lightest full QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone on the market. I don't think I'm ready to upgrade from the Pearl, but the Curve does look pretty in these ads. "With it's smooth and friendly design encompassing a large display, easy-to-use keyboard and intuitive trackball navigation system, this powerful new smartphone makes it easy to stay connected to the people and information that matter most," says BlackBerry. I Ran the BlackBerry Curve Challenge!

You know, I really never thought I'd be handcuffed and shackled to my best friend in a cell inside Alcatraz prison. But that's exactly what happened on one of the most fun days of my life. On Saturday, I competed in the Verizon Wireless/BlackBerry Curve Challenge: Destination Alcatraz!

BlackBerry has put on these Amazing Race-style events in Boston, Minneapolis, and Portland before, and San Francisco was chosen for the championships. I couldn't miss it, so I grabbed my BFF, some running shoes, and took off flying out of Union Square with a packet full of tasks and riddles. To hear more about my Alcatraz adventure, just read more

We ran up San Francisco hills to get to challenges like big wheel relays, racing through a real submarine in Fisherman's Wharf, running up the steps of Coit Tower to do blindfolded puzzles, and the whole time, we were manned with just a BlackBerry Curve to use to figure out where our next checkpoint was. We could use the browser to Google clues, the VZ Navigator to use the GPS to get to addresses, and the phone to call anyone for help. Since I didn't have a camera, I used the Curve's to capture that grainy masterpiece above.

Eventually, we rode a ferry to Alcatraz Island. Once on the island, we had to figure out trivia about the prison - which we thought was the main challenge - until we turned in our answers, only to have handcuffs slapped on our wrists and someone say, "Welcome to Alcatraz."

Instructed to go into a barren cell (one in the infirmary, used for prisoners decades ago, and now restricted from tour groups) and sit down, we did so, and our ankles were shackled together. Prisoners until we could figure out the combo to the lock on our legs' chains, we cracked the code, and then had to find our one key in another cell full of jailers' keys for the cuffs. Needless to say, it was unbelievable.

Never in my life of living in San Francisco did I think I'd get to experience anything quite like this, and I doubt I will again. My team didn't place, but the fact that we finished (and beat a dozen or so teams, ha!) and completed every challenge was an awesome reward and I've never been more proud of myself. Go team geeksugar!
