When I painted my apartment last year, I went with Benjamin Moore paint because they seem to have the most vibrant colors and the paint is high quality too. And now they want to make that vibrancy accessible — iPhone-accessible.
The new ben Color Capture iPhone App (which will be available in the App Store on June 1 for free) lets you take a photo of anything you're around, and the app will show the closest matching colors in the Benjamin Moore catalog — there are over 3,300, so it should be easy to get a pretty dead-on match.

So I haven't checked my horoscope in ages, but that doesn't mean I'm not kind of curious. Add the fun of astrology to the Pantone color chart and you get today's website of the day: Colorstrology.
Click into the chart to pick the month and date of your birthday, and Colorstrology will give you your specialized horoscope and recommended color you should wear/use as your muse (the most important part).

If you aren't the most astute home decorator — especially when it comes to picking out color — you aren't alone. A friend of mine can't even decide on which new Nano color she wants without her hands getting all sweaty! If accent colors and complementary shades leave you in a fetal position in Home Depot's paint section, fret not.

I freak out when a new color of a gadget gets here, because it's just totally fun to see a familiar object rendered in a cool new hue — like the metallic silver option for the Nintendo DS that you can now get in the US!
I like having the option of getting to pick the color when I'm make the purchase later. I take it so seriously, like the one time I had a car and got to choose what color would be driving me around.

Note to designers and gadget manufacturers: Some of us are sick and tired of candy-colored MP3 players, cameras and cell phones.
Apple's announcement that the new iPod nano will come in silver, black, blue, green and red and the shuffle will come in silver, mint green, turquoise, lavender and magenta (those are my descriptions of the colors, not theirs!) got me thinking about the fact that almost all gadgets in the US are either staple colors like white, silver and black or bright — almost juvenile — hues of red, blue, pink and green.
Where, my friends, are all the fall colors like orange and yellow, or the muted, retro colors?

Tired of monochrome cell phones that choose business over pleasure? If you live in Japan, you're in luck. Softbank has released a simple and sleek cell phone line (it looks like a slightly chunky RAZR) that showcases 20 of our favorite Pantone colors - from Pearl Pink, Mint Green, Beige, Gold to Metal Blue.

I've seen pink BlackBerrys, gold BlackBerrys, white BlackBerrys, red BlackBerrys and then all of the standard-colored BlackBerrys, but royal purple? This is a delightful treat. The new BlackBerry Curve 8530 should be coming to Sprint some time this month, but we still don't know specifics about price (Verizon is charging $100 after a mail-in rebate, so you can expect something comparable).

When the weather starts getting cooler, and you start paying attention to gift guide suggestions, then you know the holidays are quickly approaching! It's about that time of the year for me, when I can't help but want to buy things that are festive and get me into the holiday spirit. These new Solo FX Special Edition Cases ($35) from iSkin might not be green and red, but they are glitzy and certainly fall into the category of "essential holiday accessories."

I guess if I can't have my dream Lego house, perhaps I can settle for a Lego kitchen instead? Created by Paris designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti, the Munchausen LEGO kitchen was made with an IKEA kitchen island base, which was then entirely covered with Scandinavian Lego pieces. The entire project took about a week to finish and certainly gives a plain white kitchen a bold new look.
