Vintage Geek: Smokin' Hot Tech From Clueless

I heard from Buzz the other day that Clueless might be getting a sequel! Although I'm usually a little wary of "part two's," I couldn't help but remember all the fun I had watching the original flick back in 1995. I mean, for a film in the mid '90s about high school kids, this movie was pretty geeky. It was full of big candy bar cell phones, laptops, and pagers. Yes, pagers. Remember those? I was obsessed with getting one until 1996 just because of it.

I took a trip down memory lane and watched Clueless last night. Even though spotting all the tech throughout the movie was pretty fun, I do have one favorite scene in the movie. I think you know what it is. Check it out in the clip above.

Paramount Steps Into the Gaming Industry With Popular Chick-Flick Games

Paramount is not only trying to dip into the video-game world, but it's also going after a female audience by introducing three games inspired by girlie movies - Clueless, Mean Girls, and Pretty in Pink. These first few games will be developed in conjunction with Legacy Interactive.

No word on what console the games will be designed for or what the user experience will be like just yet, although BuzzSugar has her predictions!

More games are said to be in the making and even more to come next year!

Remember how we all oohed and aahed over Clueless? We thought it was so high tech, having your wardrobe on your computer. Well I'm glad to say we one-upped Cher Horowitz because now you can have all that - on your iPhone.

Touch Closet is a free app that lets you add clothing items from your wardrobe, organizing and creating a kind of inventory (so you can tell from a glance if you need to stop buying gray cardigans).

From there, you can put together outfits and record when you wore them, so you can check back and see what you're wearing often and avoid repeats, if that's a concern of yours.

I'm gonna have to tell Fab to get an iPhone . . .

Social Networks Are Lost on Most Adults

I thought everyone knew what a social network was, especially since you really can't get away from them these days. But apparently you guys are on the cutting edge of trends, so give yourselves a pat on the back! Why? Well, a recent report says that 58 percent of worldwide adults surveyed are totally clueless about what a social network is. I know, I know, I'm shocked too.

Even more surprising, a whole 30 percent of Americans couldn't tell you what Myspace or Facebook is, let alone describe what Yelp, Loopt, or Sonic Living are about, since they are totally oblivious to the popular networking trends! My heart breaks a little to know that a big chunk of our nation's adults still don't understand the joys of Twitter, let alone all the great wines that are just waiting to be discovered through one of my social networking faves. I guess I'll have to start a grassroots campaign to educate the social network deprived out there - you know, take it to the streets!

Guy Loses Playstation 3, Cops Replace It With an Xbox 360

What if you bought a refurbished gadget, only to be suspected of theft? And, then to add insult to injury were cleared but had the gadget replaced with a rival product?

That's what happened to a man in North Carolina, Dustin Waller, who bought a refurbished Playstation 3, which had been reported stolen, unbeknownst to him. The culprit is assumed to be the guy who sold the PS3 to the store where Waller got it, so when Waller signed on to the PS3, detectives tracked his IP address, came knocking, and hauled off the PS3.

When Waller was cleared, he went to get a refund, but was denied since it was against store policy. The store ended up replacing him with - get this - a Microsoft Xbox 360! I mean, when I buy a new console, I've put a lot of thought into the one I want. This would be like losing your iPhone and having it replaced with a BlackBerry, losing a MacBook Pro and getting a Sony Vaio. . . and so on, and so forth.

More interestingly, Waller thinks that the decision to give him back a 360 instead of a PS3 was made by the cops involved - so what do you think: were the cops geeks with a sense of humor, or just clueless about the differences between the consoles?

The Rad Flight of The Conchords Mouse Pad

Granted Bret and Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords may not be early adopters to the latest gadgets, but they aren't totally clueless when it comes to tech - they've at least proven that they know difference between a DVD and a VHS! Flight of the Conchords always cracks me up, so when I saw this $10 Flight of the Conchords: Eco-Friendly Mouse Pad on Hippy Shopper, I had to convince myself that my desk accessories need a little makeover. Besides, looking at two adorably goofy guys all day isn't that difficult either.

Cult Of Mac Speaks: Sprint’s Missing iPhone Rebuttal

What do you do if you are a company like Sprint and your competitor is about the launch a product that has inspired shirtless camping efforts, tribute videos and lots and lots of talk? The devoted Mac heads over at Cult of Mac have put together a list of Sprint’s Top 5 Missing Talking Points About the iPhone following Sprint's response to the iPhone launch. The list, which was apparently compiled through "research technique we can only describe as 'a couple of beers with friends' and 'making stuff up,'" is nearly as entertaining as iPhone boy himself. Highlights include:

Picture this: A curious but fairly clueless non-techy interested in the iPhone wanders into a Sprint store, and asks about the mystical device. The Sprint team springs into action! After all, Sprint’s strategy of trying to make any phone technically capable of playing music sound like the same thing as a multi-touch driven multiplayer like the iPhone.

Customer: Can I have an Apple Phone (sic), please?
Sprint Rep: Oh, so you’re interested in being able to place a call, eh? The iPhone is an impressive device, but do you really want to spend all that money? What you might not know is that Sprint offers lots of phones that are capable of making phone calls. Apple would have you believe that you need a $500 device to make a phone call. Nothing could be further from the truth!
Customer: I’m going home.
Sprint Rep: You just do that, little man.
