No Doubt Suing Activision For Splitting Up the Band
Although Band Hero was just released with a star-studded lineup yesterday, and there's already word of legal trouble. No Doubt has filed suit against Activision, the maker of Band Hero, for using their likeness for songs they didn't record, as well as splitting up the band in different scenes which weren't approved. No Doubt's band manager Jim Guerinot explains:
The band [members] are bitterly disappointed that their name and likeness was taken and used without their permission.
Taylor Swift, Travis Barker, and Pete Wentz Talk Band Hero
Available in stores today, Band Hero is Activision's latest game, which lets friends and family members rock out with their Guitar Hero instruments to favorites like "ABC" by the Jackson 5 and "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls. You can even sing along with other famous singers including country superstar Taylor Swift who performs some of her most popular hits like "Love Story," "You Belong With Me," and "Picture to Burn."

Do Celebs Get Preferential Twitter Treatment?
A much publicized post on Slate asserts that Twitter is intentionally removing unflattering tweets to celebrities from search results. The author claims that he posted a tweet "teasing" the president of CNN (which he also describes as "as nasty an item as I thought I could write" without sounding like a complete jerk). Later, he tried to search for this "hostile" tweet, but it was nowhere to be found within Twitter search results.

While some celebs are using Twitter as a means to raise money for charity, others are saying adios to the micro-blogging website. Last week, Miley Cyrus decided it was time to delete her Twitter account. In an effort to raise money for cancer research, Twitter user Drew Olanoff is auctioning off his sought-after "@Drew" Twitter name. An early adopter to Twitter, Drew was able to secure the @Drew username before anyone else had the chance to snag it.
Drew Carey, the host of The Price Is Right, has decided to get in on the action and is willing to bid $100,000 if he can get 100,000 followers by Nov.
