Geeky camera jewelry generally falls in one of several categories: over-the-top geeky, sweet and kitchy, or maybe priced higher than an actual camera. I'm still undecided about this funky Camera Obscura Necklace ($14) from ModCloth, but I dig the idea of wearing what you love on your sleeve. Or in this case around your neck.

Don't let the picture fool you - this isn't a tiny piece. It's a bold accessory with the acrylic charm coming in at over two inches long! What do you think - would you rock this necklace?

It’s said that we live in a disposable society. But the word "disposable" is a misnomer. Disposable is considered throwaway, something you use once and dump, regardless of the life that may be left in it. As a frugal shopper with a concern for the state of our environment, I think that just won’t do.

I often reuse many so-called “onetime-use” items, and I asked friends, family, and colleagues to tell me which disposable items they squeeze more life from. Here’s my list, including some of the surprising ideas I was given.

Jennifer Lopez was joined by boyfriend Casper Smart on a visit to a jewelry store near her Calabasas, CA, home yesterday. The pair was careful not be photographed together and exited the boutique separately before hopping into Casper's new Bentley, allegedly given to him by Jennifer. Jennifer ran her last-minute holiday errands dressed in a fur-lined jacket and Gucci accessories - however, on Saturday, she modeled her Spring 2012 Kohl's collection designs and posed for photographer Tony Duran for an upcoming print campaign. Despite her hectic schedule, Casper's making an effort to see J Lo whenever she has a break from the cameras. Casper visited her on the set of American Idol and also traveled with her to Morocco and Hawaii late last month. Jen's schedule isn't slowing down in the upcoming months with Idol returning to TV on Jan. 18 and her next film, What to Expect When You're Expecting, slated for a May release.

Thanks, but No Thanks: How to Turn Down Used Items From Friends

As a relatively frugal person, I’m usually happy to accept hand-me-downs from friends. Got a bread-maker you no longer use or shirt that doesn’t fit? I will take it off your hands! But some items just shouldn’t be shared - and that’s where things can get awkward.

Recently, a friend offered me her used Diaper Genie. For anyone who is unaware, this is a receptacle used for dirty diapers. You can imagine how disgusting it can get. But instead of politely declining her offer, I thanked her for it and brought it home. I didn’t want to be rude. The next day, I put her Diaper Genie outside in the trash, where it belonged.

I’ve also been offered five bags of old clothes at once, car seats that no longer meet safety requirements, and a crib that had been recalled after being deemed dangerous. (It was a beautiful, $600 crib, but still, I’m not putting my baby in anything that the federal government has declared unfit for use.)

The problem is that it can be uncomfortable to turn down a friend who has made a kind and generous offer. Just how do you tell someone that you would prefer not to wear her party dress from 2008, even if it carries a designer label? And especially if it has a stain on it?

Kate Moss was in all black last night to let loose at the Groucho Club in London with her friends. Despite the late evening, she was up and ready to pose for the cameras this morning. She left her home with her assistant Fiona, then joined good friend Mario Testino on a shoot. Kate's busy sticking with what she knows best, modeling, but she's also branching into another area of design. Kate Moss will create a jewelry line for Fred, a company owned by LVMH, based on her many tattoos, which include an anchor, a moon, a star, and more. The 22-piece collection will be out in Fred stores on Oct. 1, with a starting price around $475.

After about a year and a half of marriage, my husband and I have finally unpacked the boxes of his stuff and our wedding gifts that had piled up in every corner of our apartment. In doing so, we organized the whole place - finding a home within our home for all our "new" things while purging the old.

Through the whole process, we've unearthed a veritable trove of potential income sources littering our former wasteland. If you invest some time in spring cleaning, be sure to take stock of these six possible treasures disguised as trash:

1) Receipts

My level-one hoarding issues have finally paid off… big time. (Kiplinger’s does not encourage or condone hoarding in any way.) Shuffled amid our apartment’s piles and piles of papers, we located receipts we were able to use for Flexible Spending Account claims amounting to nearly $2,000.

You just missed most employers’ March 15 deadline by which you needed to spend 2010 FSA funds. But you may still have time to file your claims: My company, for example, gives participating employees until June 15, as long as the receipts show services were rendered or purchases were made before March 15. If you don’t drain the account in time, you’ll have to kiss that cash goodbye. (See ASK KIM: Make the Most of the New Flex-Account Rules for more about how FSAs work.)

Also keep an eye out for receipts you can use to claim tax deductions, such as for charitable donations or job-hunting expenses, if you itemize. For more write-offs you may have forgotten, check out our slide show: The Most-Overlooked Tax Deductions.

2) Gift Cards

Be sure to sift through your clutter for unused gift cards. Even if you don’t care to use them yourself, you can still gain value from them before they expire. Rachel Zoe Talks Her "Unfathomable Love" For Baby Skyler as She Celebrates Her Fashion Line

Rachel Zoe shared a look at her Fall 2011 collection with her LA-area fans yesterday. The superstylist started with a visit to Neiman Marcus's Topanga Canyon location, which she followed up with a stop at the department store's Beverly Hills storefront. We caught up with the designer at the latter event, where she had her 5-month-old son, Skyler, and husband, Rodger Berman, close by her side. Skyler, who looked adorable in baby-blue bloomers, cooed and smiled at his mom as we chatted with her before the fashion show. The Rachel Zoe Project premieres on Sept. 6, and Rachel told us things will be different on the upcoming fourth season of the series. Not only did the reality show's cameras capture much of her pregnancy, but she told us there's also decidedly less drama within the office these days, saying her current staff truly feels like a family. Rachel also told us her "unfathomable love" for Skyler has made her more efficient, because she can't wait to wrap up her work and spend time with her little guy.
