If you've ever had a problem sticking your nano in your pockets you might want to consider doing two things. No. 1 is buying some looser jeans. No. 2 is checking out the Nano belt buckles, which are sure to generate a lot of questions.

TuneBuckle is a funky and funny iPod nano case made out of aluminum. We have taken great care to produce a product of the highest quality and design. The makers suggest the design allows you to "carry your nano to the grocery store, to the club, or to the board room," and while I am slightly confused why you would need your nano in a board room or a club, I'm intrigued. read more

Geek Gear: LED Belt Buckles

These may not be the chicest geek apparel on the market, but they may be the most blingin'.

Our friends over at Apartment Therapy spotted these limited-promotional LED belt buckles at Macy's for $50. Adorned with rhinestones, the belts feature an LED screen that can be programed to display short messages.

It reminds me of the TuneBuckle, which allows you to fit your iPod in your belt, but seems to be a near exact replica of the Iced Out Scrolling LED belt, which is only $29.

I figure an LED belt buckle is ideal if you're looking for an outfit to wear to a rave or if you are looking for a cheap way to broadcast your booth at a county fair. Apartment Therapy suggests you mount one on the wall instead of on your body. "Use it to write a cute (short) note to your significant other, a word to meditate on, the theme of the day, or whatever you want to put on it to spark conversation," says their editor. Dee and Ricky Lego Belt Buckle: Love It or Leave It?

I've seen one of Dee and Ricky's Lego accessories before - their Heart-Shaped Pin (rumored to have been worn by Kanye West) was mod and adorable, and I've almost fallen for their Lego belt buckles, seen here.

Why almost? Because this cute Pink Ranger Lego Belt costs $75! For the amount of Legos that you could put together and hot glue to a belt buckle, it seems like an awful waste of cash. Unless that's how you roll. And you roll like Kanye.

Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Gold Cassette Belt Buckle

I'm still trying to figure out if you would have to be a total geek to pull this look off or just extremely chic. This Gold Cassette Belt Buckle is the real deal. Made from an actual cassette tape, it is 18K gold plated and has bronze plating on the bottom. For $210 you can be sporting one of these retro buckles. Although the actual belt isn't included. Let me know what you think of this shiny and new belt buckle.

Featured on Gizmodo, the case itself hides under your jeans, jacket or T-shirt (as long as its 1mm thick) and can be attached and detached with one movement. Surprisingly, it moves freely with your clothes and will hold your iPod securely. If you happen to have a first or second generation iPod nano, you can get one of these 'make a statement without saying a word' iPod holders for $50. Let me know your thoughts, all I can say is I'll need to see someone else wearing the ModYFire before I'll entertain the idea. We've all seen the funky TuneBuckle, which allows you to fit your iPod into your belt buckle, but what will the future hold when it comes to MP3 Player belt accessories?

If designer Kristian Paljasma has her way the Electro Belt will be the next big thing in geek gear.

It’s a belt with an MP3 player built into the buckle. You keep it charged and synced via USB. Of course, the belt itself can be customized with different face plates that illuminate while you’re listening to your tunes.

While I can't see this being an overwhelming hit with your average geeky girl, I do envision young men, skateboarders and snowboarders would love a device that combines a little flash, with all the function of an MP3 Player, particularly if it can sync with the solar panel jacket or io-Jacket, which has built in mobile-phone and GPS. I mean, once you have one piece, you're going to want the whole outfit, right?
