Beer USB Drive: Geekish or Freakish?

It's kind of hard to surprise me with a USB Drive these days; I feel like I've seen every novelty, and if I haven't yet, I think whatever the new drive (food USBs come to mind), it can be explained as the logical conclusion to a long line of goofy thumb drives. I didn't know quite what to say, though, when I saw the Beer USB Drive.

It's not actually beer floating in there (I don't think), and to get one, you have to order them in bulk, which means you probably don't need flash drives, but an intervention.

What do you think of this boozy USB?

Website of the Day: BeerMenus

I have never wanted a website to succeed more than BeerMenus. Currently only in New York City (the injustice!), this site tells you the beers that are on tap in NYC - and hopefully soon, everywhere. . .? OK, at least San Francisco (I'm selfish)!

Browse by the neighborhood or the beer, BeerMenus lists not just what's on tap, but what's in a bottle, the size of the vessel it's served in, and the price! If I was in NYC and wanted an icy cold glass of Anchor Steam tonight, BeerMenus would tell me all the bars that have it on tap and where I can get it the cheapest. Internet, I don't think I've ever loved you more.

Asahi Beerbot Serves Up Cold Ones

The Japanese have come up with a way to better beer, which of course means having it served to you by a cute, white and red robot.

The robotic refrigerator Asahi - named after the beer of course - not only pours the beer for you, but he keeps it cool in his inbuilt refrigerator as well.

Best part about it? He's actually free if you collect 36 seals found on specially marked Ashai beers. Aheeeem. I know what I'm drinking this weekend.

Drink responsibly. Flirt responsibly. The term "beer goggles" can mean nothing to you, if you take care in making a digital memory of the person you met last night - the person you thought was amazing at the time, but then got home and realized that you couldn't really remember his face.

Even if you're not drinking, your short-term memory could still be clouded by a heady initial meeting. Snap a shot for evidence that you weren't making things up. And there's no need to be awkward about it - ask them to pose for a picture with you, so you're not creepily just circling your iPhone near his face pretending to be checking a text message.
