Web 2.0 Tee: Love It or Leave It?

I can understand being obsessed with all the new social networking sites, but are you that much of a fan that you would wear an entire list of them on a t-shirt? Adam Bartholl and Markus Angermeier have teamed up to create this "Are You Social" tee that lists the best-known social web services with their icons and colors. Discussed on Neatorama, the Web 2.0 shirt lets you mark off what services you use with a pen. Interesting... Talk about making a geek statement without saying a word! What do you think? Love or leave?

Would You Pay $34 For Gloves With Missing Fingers?

The price seems a little steep, but at $34, these Etre Touchy Gloves do solve a basic problem: using your iPhone, iPod, computer, or other touch-screen device while wearing gloves. Most gadgets won't respond to a woolly glove, only bare skin. In theory, I like these. And on days that the temperature doesn't dip too low, I guess they're practical - but I still think they're a bit silly-looking.

For the record, I'm still torn on these fingerless gloves, though most of you find them totally geek chic.

Arcade Fingerless Gloves: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

This is one pair of gloves I wouldn't call practical - but they're kind of cute. Though they won't keep your fingers warm in the Winter chill, the Snow Day Arcade Fingerless Gloves ($16) will keep your fingers free for texting and, presumably, video-game playing.

The gloves (hmm. . . can I call them gloves if they don't have fingers?) feature vintage video-game designs, like this Space Invaders-themed pair. They're cute, but are they cute enough to make up for cold fingers? What do you think?

American Apparel Vinyl Laptop Bag

I've been searching for a shiny black laptop bag for quite some time now, so when I saw this $30 vinyl laptop bag from American Apparel, I knew I had to have it. Mind you I'm not quite sure if it's durable to hold all my gadgets as well as my laptop, but for only $30, it's worth testing out.

Made from polyester vinyl, this laptop bag comes with a front pocket with zipper and reinforced tacks for extra support. Choose from black, black oatmeal and black dark berry.

A great laptop bag for those who don't want to spend the $100-$200 on a leather tote.

Geek Apparel: New 'Original Gamester' Tee Shirt

I'm all for geek apparel so long as it doesn't make passersby think "they got that for free at an XBox competition." The new Orginal Gamester design from Threadless makes my official geek chic tee shirt list because it is No. 1, extremely "punny," No. 2, has a vintage flare and No. 3, works well for both male and female geeks. I adore the shirt's "don't hate the player" slogan, but love its $17 price tag even more. You just can't hate on that.

Neff Knit Headphones: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

It's getting darker, colder, and closer to the holiday season. . . all the more reason to don these cozy headphones.

The Knit Headphones ($42) are made by snowboarding apparel company Neff, and come in three woolly designs. I'd totally rock these in cold weather - they're like earmuffs, only better. What do you think?

The Radiance Jacket Keeps You Warm and Charges Your iPod

Yesterday, FitSugar brought a fun product over to my desk - this cute bomber style ski jacket. At first glance I thought it was just a jacket, but little did I know that this Radiance Jacket from Mountain Hardwear is outfitted with all the necessary gear to heat up the jacket and to charge your gadgets, you know. . . for those long ski runs in the Swiss Alps. The way it works is the jacket needs a high-tech Ardica power system to perform all of its geeky functions.

The padded heater goes into the back of the jacket (I'm not gonna lie, she is a bit heavy), and the tiny square Moshi power system connects to the USB port which is accessible from the lower left pocket in the jacket. With the heater, you can get up to nine hours of heat on its lowest setting and three when it's on high. When charged up, the Moshi power unit can connect to a variety of devices, thanks to its handy adapters, and at the end of the day, you can just directly plug it into the wall to recharge it for another day. You know I appreciate a teched-out jacket as much as the next geek, but I just don't know if it's worth the additional $150 for the high-tech features (the base price of the coat is $230 and for the additional gadget gear, you have to pay $150 on top of the original price). Also, the insulated jacket feels nice and airy, and well, lightweight, until you slip in the big battery powered energy pack. I'll give it an A+ for its geeky coolness factor, but I can't say I'd want to invest so much money in something I may not get a lot of wear out of.

Time T-Shirt: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

Rocking a geeky watch is one thing, but this Time T-Shirt ($37) with a fully-functional digital clock ups the ante. The shirt uses electro-luminescence technology - a very weak electric current that passes through the shirt, causing the material to generate light and display the time. Don't worry, it doesn't radiate heat or use hazardous materials.

The shirt is powered by two AAA batteries (ha! How many times do you get to read a sentence that geeky?), and is 100 percent cotton and completely machine-washable. What do you think?
