The great social divide of who's a Mac and who's a PC is a complicated one (just ask the characters on Gossip Girl), but at the end of the day, you have to pick the machinery and operating system that best fits your lifestyle. If you don't have any love for Windows, there are plenty of silly ways to express your frustration. They won't alleviate the post Blue Screen pain, but they will make you giggle.

So You Think You Can Dance Goes Tech With Ade's Solo

I'm a big So You Think You Can Dance fan, so when one of my favorite dancers ended up in last night's bottom six, I held my breath as he prepared to dance for his life. But really, what was I worried about? Ade not only totally came through with a powerful solo, but it was choreographed to a song that included a few Windows sounds I'm all too familiar with. The solo was amazing, and the song made it totally geek chic. Check it out in the video below.

Are You Ready For Windows 7?

Microsoft publicly suggested it is planning to finish Windows 7 in time to run on PCs that ship for next year's holiday season, last week.

Apparently, Microsoft has been working overtime to not publicly commit on the time frame for shipping Windows 7 because it doesn't want to miss another deadline. Their official statement is that Windows will ship within three years of the January 2007 consumer release of Windows Vista.

Last time I checked 27 percent of geeksugar readers said they've given up on Vista, whereas 32 percent said they still hadn't tried it. Where do you stand now?

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

First of all, join the Download of the Day group
Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
Choose "Blog"
Give your photo a Title
Leave the category as "general"
Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Download of the Day")
Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you love the download, do it before the code that has appeared.
Click Submit

Photosynth Is Now Open For Public Use

For all of you Windows XP or Vista users, Photosynth is a neat new application from Microsoft that lets you transform digital pics into 3D, 360-degree experience. Just released out of beta, Photosynth allows you to easily upload your pics and then it will work its 3D magic, creating an entirely new visual medium. But keep in mind that all synths are public right now, so don't upload any pics that you don't want the world to see. It's definitely worth checking out if you are a PC user!

The OLPC XO Gets Equipped With Windows XP

Just when I hardly hear anything for months about the One Laptop Per Child project, Microsoft decides to team up with OLPC to add Windows XP to the XO laptops. Machines running Windows will be available by August or September, with some machines available as early as next month. XO laptop users will also have the ability to host both Windows and Linux operating systems on their machines. Even with OLPC's director of security architecture Ivan Krstic resigning earlier this year, the company may make a big comeback with this latest addition.
